Yeah, ideally Stinnie is a 3rd guard. I'm a bit concerned about not having a good option behind him in case he gets Peter Principled.

But the good thing about this move is, we should no longer feel we HAVE to go guard with that first pick. We have two guys we know we can start now.

Don't get clouded by Wirfs - first year linemen are generally a bit of a liability. I'm not saying don't draft one (or two or three), I'm just saying don't expect him to be plug-and-play.

Ahhh, I hate how little draft capital we have this year, but this was a nice pickup. One of the shortest linemen in the league but one of the better ones. Still only 28 with 98 career starts. Grades out really well with PFF and the like. Has played with TB12 before. Under contract for two full years for a little over $7 mil this year and $8.5 mil next year.

I read somewhere on these pages that we picked up a compensatory 7th this year for losing Haeg last year. I know it's not much, but it's something. Someone else mentioned the possibility of trading down with our 1st round pick and maybe picking up an extra 2nd and 3rd. All I'm saying is that all is not lost on the draft front just yet.

Maybe. It really depends on who is there when we pick. There's more than one way to fill a roster. Great Free Agency doesn't just mean at the top. We've gotten great contributors like Stinnie, Nacho, and Grayson in Free Agency too.

This draft is thick in all the right places.

He didn't want to pay a huge contract and get better and more immediate value than a 3rd rd comp pick. Plus he shipped him to the NFC
