Maybe they knew they had this deal with CD the whole time.

Make sense

Per Schefter
Houston has declined Indianapolis’ attempt to speak with Deshaun Watson, per source. Houston comfortable trading Watson - just not in the AFC South.

Thank God we brought back CD3!! Secretly hoping we draft a corner high so we won't be tied to Dean long term.

Have you researched Kaiir Elam? He seems like a good fit for Bowles' system.

What a crazy 24hrs. Yesterday at this time I was convinced that Brady, Jensen, and CD3 would all not be on the Bucs in 2022.

All are back!!

Only confirmed losses so far are Marpet and Cappa.

Whitehead and Lenny are two other key pieces it would be nice to get back.

With Brady back I'm more inclined to bring Suh back, he's a guy who has ALWAYS been his best in big games and with Brady back the Bucs will be in big games.

I'm cool with not re-signing JPP

They need to pursue new/young blood for this year’s run.

Still shouldn't be lost that because these signings aren't official until Wednesday afternoon that there will be more cuts/restructuring done between now and then. As of now we are $17mil over the cap. Have to be in the black by Wednesday.

I expect Pinion, Brate, Cockrell, maybe Succop to get the ax. Expect Brady to restructure his deal. Maybe a big money player gets traded?

Plenty more work to be done.

This. Our age played a major factor last season. Injuries were a factor all year long and it showed. Definitely need to get younger

They should be exploring trades of future picks.

Negative. We're going to have so much dead money when this is over that we need to start stockpiling picks now.

Jaguars spending all this money on WRs just to still have one of the weaker WR groups in the league.

Leftwich was absolutely right in not wanting to work with Trent Baalke.

This has to be one of the most ridiculous spending sprees of all time.

They spend like 150 M on WR on one day and didn't came away with a #1 receiver.

The cap is all funny money. The Saints have been in cap hell for a decade and are still making a run at Watson.

I’ve always liked Engram. He’s a load to bring down. Jags got a good TE there. He’s been nicked a bit lately though.

I actually laughed when I saw that. Reminds me when I turn the cap off in Madden.

Just realized Carlton Davis will be 28 when his contract expires. This short, large deal is a long term investment for him. Smart move.

There's really no such thing as cap hell anymore. The Saints were 60 mm over the cap at one point and have lost no one of importance and now people are saying can easily figure out Watson's 35 mm contract.

It's wild.

Yeah so many ways to manipulate it. They wouldn't be making deals if they knew they couldn't.

Yep. Anytime you can hit free agency for a second time at 28 or younger, you're sitting pretty. He's going to be one of the highest APY corners in the league this year and if he continues to grow, he could be top of the list with the next deal. Really, I'm just glad he's back. Losing him would have been a disaster.

While I agree the cap doesn’t matter if you are willing to work around it, the reports I’ve heard has New Orleans trading some of their higher priced players in a deal for Watson too which could make it easier for them financially.

I thought extending Godwin and tagging CD3 would have been a boss move, this works too.

Gronk said he wasn't basing his decision on whether or not Brady came back. Or is he lying?

Gronk is a Buffalo guy, I think he’s tempted to play for his home town team.

I really don’t see Gronk going to a different team to catch balls from someone other than Tom Brady.
