Palmer and Thompkins both look like they can add juice. Hoping they both make it.

Very.

His awareness in the back of the end zone was fantastic.

I’m sure Bucs fans said the same about Steve Young. And no, I’m not comparing Mayfield to Young, just pointing out what a silly argument this is.
It’s just not that easy to get excited over a player with a big ego who has played on 4 teams and never played at the level you’d hope to support said ego.
This is probably his last shot for a starter role. If he can't make it happen, it's either play back up the rest of his career or retire and go to tv.

No, but I don't think he saw the safety. The receiver beat the CB, but the safety was in a position to make that play. Experience may help with that.
If Baker threw that everyone would be all over him calling him a bum
The difference is Baker has MUCH more experience than Trask. He SHOULD have learned to avoid that already.

This line isn’t doing Trask any favors, but his pocket awareness is… not good.

Geno didn't really pull a Geno.

Geno played well for a couple of months then collapsed down the stretch. I'm not rooting against Geno or anything. But he's a lousy argument for, "Maybe this one guy who sucks will suddenly get good."
"So let's get to the point
Let's roll another joint
And let's head on down the road
There's somewhere I got to go..."

Way too many penalties

Anyone still doubting Mayfield is the starter? He was pretty perfect-flags derailed the O Mainly these young WRs
And Vaughn ain’t it.
Trask ain't it. Zero sacks zero INTs Mayfield. 1 and 2 Trash

Sneak is crap, our third string played better than Trash at QB. I was neutral on Trask until now. Now I know he's nothing. A wasted pick. All you Trask stans. Fuck off

It was a pretty perfect debut for Baker, not sure he could have done anything better. Shame we had so many needless penalties.

Watts and Merriweather look like two big time steals as UDFAs. Kade Warner is intriguing as well but think we are too deep at WR to keep him.

A lot of young guys looked really good. To think that the floor of the OLB rotation could be Gill and Ramirez. Bowles can draw something up with that.

Yaya looks big next to other nfl players.

After last night I have higher hopes for Mike Greene and CJ Brewer - they made some plays while Senat, Previlon, and O'Connor did next to nothing.

Really hope YaYa can be something special. Losing faith in JTS. Gill, Nelson, and obviously Shaq will be in the rotation as well. JTS could be a surprise cut IMO. Watts to me just looks like he knows how to sack a QB. Haven’t even mentioned Ramirez yet either.
