That said he is a good CB from what I saw. Someone saw that too as he went on day 2 of the draft.

For everyone who doesn't give a crap about Clemson, but just likes football, watch that thing for the hits. People getting destroyed out there. And especially the Dexter Lawrence segment. It's like guys hit a brick wall. It is Vita Vea stuff.
I will not mention the unmentionables that happen to FSU quarterbacks. Because I would not mention them. But I think criminal charges were warranted. Go to timestamp 9:50 ish, then watch the few plays after it. That's a man among boys.

@Kress he's a star now.
Re: 2022 Training camp thread
They'll post a clip of him hitting somebody deep first chance they get. Can't have the fans shitting on him.

He left out Smith was being tried out at safety.

Donovan is entirely too clumsy to play safety. No wonder Trask looked great. I’m just a fan, but that’s my opinion.

Yes it was Sunday, you are correct. I was having a long day, and only came here to compress some.King Bootz wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2022 9:39 pmThere was no practice today, kiddo.kaimaru wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2022 9:01 pm
Gabbert had his overthrows and off target passes as well. It reminded me off all the screen and short pass ints that LBs always jumped the route on Winston. I am just saying that if we get this in preseason games against backups and camp scrubs then that's a really bad sign.
Re: 2022 Training camp thread
1 positive tweet about Trask? No, thats a conspiracy from OBP
4+ pages of shitting on Trask, yes it’s because Trask sucked in that one tweet
*drake meme*
I don’t even like the pick. But you guys are funny
Re: 2022 Training camp thread
Is KJ Britt getting abused in these clips
Re: 2022 Training camp thread
It wasn't one bad tweet. Radio reporters are saying he's throwing wounded ducks all over the place. I listened to an entire debate about what's wrong with his throwing mechanics.
If you are an NFL quarterback, people should not be debating whether you know how to THROW A FOOTBALL.
Re: 2022 Training camp thread
Ducks all over the place is bad news. Damn. After an entire redshirted season dedicated to rebuilding the throwing motion.
Re: 2022 Training camp thread
Well, there’s always next year draft… Another QB I bet
I hate Ohio State but CJ Stroud is the next generation QB

Re: 2022 Training camp thread
And he might not even be the first QB taken in this class.
The Stroud/Bryce Young race is going to be my favorite storyline this college season. And there are even people who think Richardson and Levis could stick their noses into that mix.
Personally, I'm all in on the Derrick Thomas/Lawrence Taylor/Von Booker monster at Alabama. Those four QBs I just named? Odds are, 1-2 of them will be complete busts and the 3rd one won't be quite as good as hoped. But Will Anderson? I think he'd have been in the NFL Pro Bowl LAST year if could have been in that draft.

Will Anderson would have been the number 1 overall pick this year had he been in the draft. Unless he kicks a baby on live TV, he will be a top three pick next season.MJW wrote: ↑Tue Aug 09, 2022 11:15 pmAnd he might not even be the first QB taken in this class.

The next good professional Ohio State quarterback would be the first. Busts as far as the eye can see. Yes, maybe I'm biased as a Michigan fan, but they uniformly suck out loud as pros. For that reason, I'm out on Stroud, though to be fair I haven't researched either him or Bryce Young in any depth.
Regardless, we (probably) won't be picking high enough for any of them.

Re: 2022 Training camp thread
Sometimes I get really, really excited about a prospect. Not, "he's my favorite in the class" excited, but, like, "We're witnessing the prologue to a generational talent's career" kind of excited. That's how I feel about Anderson. Unless there's some massive drop-off or debilitating injury, he's going to enter next year's draft as the most talented defensive player I've personally ever scouted, a list that includes guys like Garrett and Clowney and Suh. He's basically one of those "create your ideal rushers" memes. Von Miller's get off. Lawrence Taylor's closing burst. Derrick Thomas's ability to explode off a cut. Jared Allen's effortless speed to power to speed.Cheb wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 12:56 amWill Anderson would have been the number 1 overall pick this year had he been in the draft. He could stand to get a little stronger, maybe get that weight up to 255 or so (he's listed at 243 right now.) But he's generational.

Re: 2022 Training camp thread
Hey-seuss. He leaps off the screen.
Re: 2022 Training camp thread
Someone in the Draft forum said, 'you don't even need to put the circle on him pre-snap, because you won't miss him.'
Show me a pass rusher who can both beat a great left tackle around the edge with pure speed, AND rush the B-Gap and simply muscle through a guard and tackle and make a play, and you're showing me, seriously, maybe 10 guys in NFL history.
If I'm a GM, and Young/Stroud aren't getting compared to Andrew Luck and John Elway by my scouts, I'm taking Anderson #1 overall, even if I need a quarterback.

Re: 2022 Training camp thread
If I were pedantic I would say that he plays too high, lacks lateral quickness, is far slower out of his stance as a down lineman than as an upright rusher, and relies on his speed too much.MJW wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 1:06 amSometimes I get really, really excited about a prospect. And all that ultimately doesn't matter because Anderson's positives are so good that he could lead the NFL in sacks as a rookie and I wouldn't be surprised.

You're not wrong about any of that - and you're also right that it shouldn't matter much.Cheb wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 3:20 amIf I were pedantic I would say that he plays too high, lacks lateral quickness, is far slower out of his stance as a down lineman than as an upright rusher, and relies on his speed too much.MJW wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 1:06 am

The last prospect I enjoyed watching this much was Calvin Johnson in 2006. Unmentioned to this point are his instincts. He just has an innate sense for where the ball is going in the run game, where the quarterback is going to shift in the pocket to, and most impressively, he understands the blocking angles better than the blockers do.
I could do this all day with this kid.

Re: 2022 Training camp thread
1st day of joint practices with the Dolphins is today. These practices will have more star power than the game this Saturday.
Re: 2022 Training camp thread
Depth chart.
Looks like their not sure what to do with Ponder.
White? rookie running back 4th string, my guess they are holding him for the real deal surprise.
