Appreciate it. Wish it weren’t true, but they just don’t belong here.

Of 2024? I have to say I'm impressed with the hustle. I respect it. But matters such as that will be handled internally /boring Mod response
Have a great night Terry!

Re: 2022 NFL Wildcard Weekend
If we win our next game we win the SB, just like with us beating the Saints last year
The Rams to us are just like what the Saints are. The Cardinals can beat anyone any week.
We beat the Rams then we’ll beat GB and go to the SB and take our second.

Re: 2022 NFL Wildcard Weekend
Random thing I noticed:
We've now had 4 of these "2 vs 7" games in the new format. The #2 seed has won all four. The average margin of victory in these games is 13 points. Only one of these games (Indy at Buffalo last year) was competitive in the 4th quarter.
Maybe...there aren't 7 good teams in each conference, and the gap between the 2nd best team and the 7th best team is pretty huge, and it would be better if we went back to the six team format?

That game wasn’t even as close as the final score indicates. Buffalo was using 27-16 before the Colts scored a touchdown late.MJW wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 11:54 pm Random thing I noticed:

I think it’s something that needs to be considered.

A bye in all but name. But it costs us Wirfs. Hate the new format.MJW wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 11:54 pm Random thing I noticed:

Re: 2022 NFL Wildcard Weekend
The NFL doesn’t care. It’s more money for them. Especially when you consider the seven seeds this year (Eagles, Steelers) are popular teams with big fanbases it’s all a huge win for the league. It will be interesting to see how long we go before a seven seed pulls off an upset.MJW wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 11:54 pm Random thing I noticed:

Re: 2022 NFL Wildcard Weekend
I know it, and it sucks. These teams have no business in the playoffs. Nobody should be tuning into a playoff game and seeing an Eagles team that went 0-7 against winning teams this year, or Ben Roethlisberger throwing 15 of 25 for 72 yards or whatever. Also, finishing with the #2 seed should merit a bye IMHO. The advantage of being the #2 seed instead of #3-7 is honestly minimal with how often road teams win these days.Miller4Prez64 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 3:40 amThe NFL doesn’t care. Potentially losing the best RT in the league to beat a shitty Eagles team so the league can make a few extra dollars is crap.

Re: 2022 NFL Wildcard Weekend
The Steelers offense is inept and has been all season.
It sucks for fans the Steelers got in over the Chargers.
The Bills and Bengals have the firepower to score points atleast.

Re: 2022 NFL Wildcard Weekend
I'm honestly bummed they lost, because they're still gutless and still poorly coached, and I think we would have dog-walked them in Tampa. The Niners robbed us the chance. Pity.Phantom wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 7:13 am Love Stephen A Smith’s reaction on Dallas Cowboys loss.

Re: 2022 NFL Wildcard Weekend
The only realistic way to give the 2 seed a bye is to expand the playoffs to 8 teams. 100% agreed with the bolded though.MJW wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 6:57 amI know it, and it sucks. Re: 2022 NFL Wildcard Weekend
But how would that work? 1 and 2 off, 3v8, 4v7, 5v6... following week you have 5 teams left giving 1 two bye weeks and then down to 3 teams....

Two best things about Wildcard Weekend.

Re: 2022 NFL Wildcard Weekend
This is the type of return that could really spark a team in the playoffs. Plus if they win, there's word that they could get Hopkins back in a week or 2 as well. Yet another reason I do not want to face the Cardinals.uscbucsfan wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 1:22 pm That's pretty big. He was still really really good before going down.

Re: 2022 NFL Wildcard Weekend
Methinks the gentlemen who came up with the expansion idea are slightly less concerned with putting the best possible playoff product out there than they are with putting the most possible dinero in their pockets.MJW wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 11:54 pm Random thing I noticed:
