Can someone post that pass/int from Trask today? One of the ugliest balls I've seen thrown from a college or NFL player. On the Bucs FB page.

High, zero drive, and a duck with no pressure.

Edit, found it:

This is great news. If he can regain his form and if Julio can be what he was 3/4 years ago, this offense will be unstoppable. Especially if Gronk comes back at some point.
Since Brady's time available in the pocket has likely been cut, he's gonna need both of those guys for some quick throws.
I wouldn't worry too much about it. They'll find a way to bring in Tretter if Hainsey proves he isn't ready.

Goodness…that was ugly enough to understand why he is 5th string 😂. Let’s hope that’s a one time thing.

I found the tweet from a non-Buc fan saying that Buc's media must hate him for tweeting that.

It’s a good thing they spent a year fixing his mechanics. Proof is in the pudding…

I can also hear the ball literally fluttering. What the fuck

They might not be wrong. They can try to pass it off as showcasing the defense, but no way. Anyone watching that play sees one thing and one thing only.

That was an ugly pass but it did hit Darden in the hands before it was picked.

It was behind him and high in what looks like triple coverage and Trask stared him down. 0 fault on Darden there.

That was about as bad of a clip they could show on Trask.

It's now lost in history, but Gruden tried like hell to talk Barry Sanders out of retirement when he took over the Bucs in 2002 (Sanders had been retired for four years at that point.)

I wanted Calvin so bad. Or Joe Thomas. Or Adrian Peterson. Or Darrelle Revis. 7 Hall of Famers in the top 15 picks. RIP, Gaines.

Our 2007 draft was one of the worst wastes of draft capital in our history, which is saying something. 4 picks in the top 68 of a loaded draft. Zero second contracts given to that group. The best pick we made that weekend was Adam Hayward in the 6th Round.* Seven years as a damn good reserve linebacker and special teamer.

* - Unless you want to count pre-meltdown Tanard Jackson in the 4th Round, but I do not.

Yep. Terrible throw pumping up the “graveyard” DBs. Out of the 120 FB comments I saw nearly all commented on how terrible a throw by Trask. Not a good look for the “future”, but we’ll see how he looks come these preseason games.

I’d rather know now he’s not the dude

@MJW he drops back, no pressure, uncorks one, and the spiral immediately unravels in the air. the ball isn’t placed well, gets tipped and picked at point of reception.

Dogshit pass but hard to comment without seeing the full picture.

Have his passes been consistently poorly thrown like this? Or was it a one off

Extreme example obviously but if a QB had been literally perfect all season and had only horribly thrown ball, you would laugh it off as an anomaly.

I’ve said it before but I don’t believe the current QB depth chart is reflective of poor Trask performance, rather us wanting someone with experience at #2.

But if we’re actually going to judge Trask off his training camp, can anyone actually comment on how the rest of his play has looked in comparison to this one horrible pass?

Or are we all speculating?

Because, again, Jameis was the next coming of Christ in his training camps here.

Considering we targeted 2 DEs, 2 Safeties, and an OG in round 2. I would assume that was our main needs. Assuming we didn't move around, I am thinking this would have been a perfect draft:
4 Adrian Peterson RB
35 LaMarr Woodley DE
64 Marshal Yanda moved to OG
68 Zak DeOssie LB
106 Dashon Goldson S
141 Corey Graham CB
182 Brandon Fields P

Why AP over someone like Revis? We were a run first team like many in the league. Plus Corey Graham isn't a bad pair with Ronde.

@Sdbucs His only decent day was yesterday. He is both playing with the backup WRs, so he has had a LOT of drops. That said, he also has at least two picks playing red zone plays each day. He also has bad ball placement, but so does Gabbert. Still Gabbert has many less passes that landed short of receivers.

As an aside, Cade Otton and Deven Thompkins have been really doing well and catching a lot of passes during practice. Bowles has singled out both players this week.

Sounds like people are advocating for a high round draft pick being spent on a QB. You know what comes after that "coulda shoulda".

Missed one of the great pass rushers - wide receivers - left tackle...

I sincerely doubt "great" LTs or pass rushers are found at pick 64. WR like a Godwin sure. Also Licht/Arian's would never used pick 32 and 64 on pass rushers. Even if a good one dropped somehow.

Kind of scary that the dude in his second year in the league...and that's a pass he throws. The thing is too, it's not like this was an off-pass of a great camp that the media just happened to catch. This guy has been total shit since camp begins. If anything, maybe worse than last year. Doesn't even sound like the kid is good enough to be a backup.
