Yes, fully healthy and without Lamb and Parsons firing on all cylinders. They will wipe the field with us if we run into them again.

They owned 55 and 99, you want sand kicked in your face forever or do you want to stand up and fight

In fairness to 55 and 99!

55 was 3 - 3

99 was 3 - 2

So yeah, they fought hard.

I don't think he plays much. Their starting SS Jordan Fuller suffered a season ending ankle injury on Sunday. At this time of the year, you want the best possible options at your disposal for elimination games. Waddle provides good depth for their safety position.

That seems worse than the Sherman singing. He hasn't played since 2019 if I am correct.

This Sunday vs Philly will be the last game the Bucs can just play average and still get a win.

Assuming we take of business vs Philly whoever comes to Tampa in rd 2 will be more formidable and take our best effort. It won't be the 49ers since they are the 7 seed and thus guaranteed to play the 1 seed should they advance.

So the Rams, Cowboys, and Cardinals are all as talented as anyone in the league. One of those 3 will be in Tampa if we beat Philly.

He's 37yrs old as well.

If I'm the Cardinals I look to get Weddle isolated in pass coverage as well as in the run game so he has to try and tackle Kyler Murray.

I loved him as a player, but you just don't come off the couch and trackdown Kyler Murray.

I'd agree with Bootz, I can't see him playing much if at all.

I wouldn't even want this team to have the mindset that "average" would get it done against the Eagles. They've really stepped their game up over the course of the season, albeit against bad teams. They finished 7-4 over their last 11. Not far off from our 8-3 finish. The Eagles are no slouch.

I thought for sure there was a scenario where we would play the Niners at home if we both won but you're right.

This is the part where I tell you that all 3 of those teams were much better on the road than they were at home. Especially the Cardinals. So we'd be be on our A game but they'll have to be as well because the Bucs were a much better team at home as we've all discussed this year.

Provided we win, we're gonna have a fun matchup in the divisional round.

2 of the top ten scoring offenses were eliminated from the playoffs.

3 of the top ten scoring defenses were eliminated from the playoffs.

Crazy I know, but the only two playoff teams better on scoring defense are Buffalo and New England.

Being the casual fan that I am, I can't remember in past years that antiques were brought back for a playoff run. We brought in Sherman, out of our own desperation, and there was "talk" online of Terrell Owens wanting to sign with us.

Is this a normal situation, or is the NFL evolving?

We beat the Cowboys. Granted fully healthy.

I’m only nervous about the Rams but now that it’s a home game… slightly less.

We weren't fully healthy. Whitehead was out for the Dallas game, SMB played about one quarter.

The Weddle signing made me think of the old movie "The Running Man" when they brought Jesse Ventura's character out of retirement to "win" the big finale, lol

Can’t speak to the overall trend, but I think it has potential as a market inefficiency. Old vets prone to injury aren’t gonna last the full 17 game season. If you can get an experienced fresh body for a playoff run, why not? The difficulty lies in getting them back to game speed and fitting in schematically after being away from ball for so long.

Sort of a pipedream tho because most of these guys are rightfully put out to pasture for a reason.

Market inefficiency...I like that.

I would like this a lot more if they'd done it a month ago and given him a chance to practice and inch back towards game shape. Are you really going to trust a 37 year old safety who hasn't played in a year to man up on a 9 route against CeeDee Lamb or whoever? Not sure I would, and you don't always have control of such things on defense.

Let's roll another joint
And let's head on down the road
There's somewhere I got to go..."

The Sherman signing was ridiculous. I remember watching that first series of that Eagles game because I was honing in on Sherman, noticing that they were lining him out wide for however limited number of snaps he actually played.

I remember thinking, just from that limited sample size: “this dude is about to get lit the FUCK up.” Then the hamstring thing happened…then the calf…and so on. I think Sherman knew he could no longer play. He is one of the most intelligent football players I know of, despite whatever mental issues he is undergoing now. I’m not saying he was he wasn’t really injured, just perhaps exaggerating the extent a bit, for the good of the team really.

It seems like everyone's writing off the Raiders in this game but they've been one of those teams this year where they could beat anyone or lose to anyone.

If not for their HC, I think the Bengals with Burrow at the helm would be a guaranteed Super Bowl winner in the next 3 years.

Burrow needs to leverage the organization into spending more money. It’s the worst stadium I’ve ever been to. Everything about the franchise - off the field - is stuck in the 1990s. Get these guys some decent facilities too.

Scary to think how good Burrow could be with just an average o-line instead of the wet cardboard box he has now.
