Love a trade with the Jags
Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Dean would be a great understudy to David.

Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Do we get the 1st pick tomorrow night from the Jags?
Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
You may go to bed now.
Thanks JL
Thanks JL
Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
We got 33, 106, and 180
Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Three picks for our pick, including the top pick in the second round, which is a very, very leveragable spot.
Good idea. I like it.
Licht said in an interview recently that maybe the draft doesn't have 30 first round picks. Seems he wasn't bluffing.

Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
I don’t know how I feel about trading back with Wyatt on the board.

The one spot trade up is the "terrorist plot you never hear about" of GMingKing Bootz wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 10:51 pm When does Licht do his annual unnecessary trade up to say he did it?

Let’s hope those extra picks are used better than 2021 picks bruhs

So, now we have two picks in the second, two in the fourth, and another in the sixth.
Well done Mr Licht.

Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Cheb is right. Let that #33 marinate overnight. There could be an even juicier opportunity to add picks in a trade down.

I like Wyatt too, but there's a non-zero chance that he's still there with the first pick tomorrow night. A fair one, I'd say.Miller4Prez64 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 11:01 pm I don’t know how I feel about trading back with Wyatt on the board.
And dropping back sixth spots gets us another fourth round pick who could contribute (a running back for the rotation, or a tight end who can block), as well as another sixth rounder development guy.
Personally I love it.

Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
I hate it. Maybe I'll hate it if we come away with a stud like Dean, but I think we messed up trading out of getting Lloyd. Than again I thought we messed up trading out of getting Minkah but we got Vea so...

Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
And considering the fact that the Bucs were missing 5th and 6th rounders, I can see the logic behind the trade. Let's hope Wyatt is there tomorrow night. It's a great thing when you trade back a few spots and the guy you want is still there.Cheb wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 11:05 pmI like Wyatt too, but there's a non-zero chance that he's still there with the first pick tomorrow night. Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Great move for us. That’s a haul to drop back just 6 spots AND get to sit on it overnight.
Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Pats need to keep trading down. so they can fuck up all their 8 2nd and 3rd rounders but nail their 7th rounder on a converted QB-to-X position from a MAC school who becomes a HOFer.

Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
I think we need to be realistic about what 5th and later picks typically amount to. But I follow what you’re saying. At some point, quantity is just that, quantity.Defense5599 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 11:09 pmAnd considering the fact that the Bucs were missing 5th and 6th rounders, I can see the logic behind the trade. Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
We can always trade back in. We have some picks to barter with now. If Wyatt is available at #30 maybe you move up?
Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
33 is prime trade position also where you can usually get great value.
We already picked up an early 4th, maybe we can move down again for an extra 3rd.
Give us two extra lottery tickets in the top 4 rounds.

Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
If they had a huge hard on for a specific player there they would have taken him. They’ve got several guys graded similarly and took the value of the extra picks.
Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Those later round picks can also be trade bait for mid-round maneuvers, if that thought can be balm to your wound.Snake wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 11:11 pmI think we need to be realistic about what 5th and later picks typically amount to. But realistically, we need depth throughout the roster, especially cheap young depth to futureproof the roster. Running back, tight end, guard, defensive end, defensive tackle, debatably both inside and outside linebacker, cornerback.

Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
I really don’t like this trade now. Really liked Wyatt next to Vea.
