Wilson (1RP), Olave (1RP), Smith-Njigba (1RP), Harrison Jr (projected 1RP). And probably others I’m forgetting.
LSU, Bama, and OSU are all up there recently. Hard to put anyone over a Chase Jefferson duo IMO, just because how dominant they are.
Hmm that’s a good point. Harrison will need to reach that echelon for OSU to have a better argument. They have the depth, but those two are definitely a cut above.

Chase is just, incredible.

Incredible finish after a shitty 3.5 quarters! Hats off to the Jets for battling. Their team and fans deserved that one.

As for Buffalo… ouch. Allen couldn’t get it done with the Jets on the ropes early.

I think bootz is right. I think the bills are done as a contender contender.

I see the head coach getting fired if they don’t make a legitimate run this season. Not sure if that’ll change anything. But it’s what I foresee.

With all signs pointing to Rodgers being done for the year with an Achilles injury, it makes me appreciate the Brady era here even more. Imagine if Brady got injured week 1 vs the Saints in 2020...

Granted, we didn't trade for Brady while taking on a massive contract like the Jets did with Rodgers, but the mere idea of having the hype of 2020 disappear after 5 plays makes me wince in pain.

The five oldest starting QBs with Rodgers being out for the season:

35 - Matthew Stafford, Ryan Tannehill, Kirk Cousins

34 - Russell Wilson

32 - Geno Smith

Brady really messed with people's perception of how long a QB can play well/stay healthy.

Let me correct that: Rodgers is out for the season with a mystery injury. Quote from Rodgers, "I showed up and played a little bit. I'm well worth the $114,000,000.00 I'm getting paid."

Big reason Brady was able to stay so healthy is he got rid of the ball at ludicrous speed, and the 20-21 lines were exceptional. Rodgers has never played that way. He was doomed behind that line trying to play that style. But, it still happened way too soon.

And yes, Brady took very good care of his body.

Yep. There's an exception to every rule. Brady was that exception. We might not see anything close to that in another generation.

That a 39 year old QB was injured in that manner shouldn't be surprising.

It's academic at this point, but it's official:

What a fucking tragic end for Rodgers career.

Is it just me or are Achilles injuries happening more often in the NFL than in the past?

I think it’s because of artificial turf. I’ve seen it happened way often.. NFL players are pushing the league to switch to grass fields. Bank of American stadium is one of ‘em

I was also thinking that was most likely the culprit.

JK Dobbins tore his achilles on the grass field at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday. Not a peep about that.

It’s been speculated by some that it’s the new designed cleats.
