Watching these OSU receivers in the nfl…They possibly had the most talented CFB WR room in history in 2021.
Wilson (1RP), Olave (1RP), Smith-Njigba (1RP), Harrison Jr (projected 1RP). And probably others I’m forgetting.
LSU, Bama, and OSU are all up there recently. Hard to put anyone over a Chase Jefferson duo IMO, just because how dominant they are.
Hmm that’s a good point. Harrison will need to reach that echelon for OSU to have a better argument. They have the depth, but those two are definitely a cut above.
With all signs pointing to Rodgers being done for the year with an Achilles injury, it makes me appreciate the Brady era here even more. Imagine if Brady got injured week 1 vs the Saints in 2020...
Granted, we didn't trade for Brady while taking on a massive contract like the Jets did with Rodgers, but the mere idea of having the hype of 2020 disappear after 5 plays makes me wince in pain.
Let me correct that: Rodgers is out for the season with a mystery injury. Quote from Rodgers, "I showed up and played a little bit. I'm well worth the $114,000,000.00 I'm getting paid."

The five oldest starting QBs with Rodgers being out for the season:
35 - Matthew Stafford, Ryan Tannehill, Kirk Cousins
34 - Russell Wilson
32 - Geno Smith
Brady really messed with people's perception of how long a QB can play well/stay healthy.
Big reason Brady was able to stay so healthy is he got rid of the ball at ludicrous speed, and the 20-21 lines were exceptional. Rodgers has never played that way. He was doomed behind that line trying to play that style. But, it still happened way too soon.
I think it’s because of artificial turf. I’ve seen it happened way often.. NFL players are pushing the league to switch to grass fields. Bank of American stadium is one of ‘em

I was also thinking that was most likely the culprit.

JK Dobbins tore his achilles on the grass field at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday. Not a peep about that.
