Well, 3 thoughts I guess:
1) Odd statement by that Dr above. The NFL has tons of collision-based ACLs. Even if the dataset somehow barely skews majority non-contact, we see this all the time in the NFL. I wonder if they were thinking achilles?
2) Oof. Hainesy potentially starting at Center with Stinnie next to him?
I feel like the specter of that would not have tempted Brady out of retirement!
3) This is why you make the small move up last year (spend the Darden 4th) and draft Creed Humphrey instead of Trask. We’ve been so anomalously lucky with OL injuries. Teams lose OL for the season fairly often. That bill was going to come up sooner or later. Luxury picks like a project QB and gadget WR (who hasn’t shown the game speed to match the underwear speed and has looked Quez Green contact-averse) are never the right call over high-end OL prospects.

Can’t disagree with any of that. O line depth. When you have a statue back there, it’s pretty important.
Re: 2022 Training camp thread
Rebuilding the team all off-season. Getting more and more hyped.
Then second day of TC your stud center goes down on a stupid practice play. NFL hurts

Re: 2022 Training camp thread
Hainsey is a 3rd round prospect and does have a red shirt year under his belt. Hopefully he can fill the void. From what Schefter and Rapoport are saying the prognosis isn't favorable. But it's still early. Hopefully it's not season ending.
Re: 2022 Training camp thread
If Jensen had to wait for the cart, it's over. That guy would have refused it if at all possible.
Re: 2022 Training camp thread
Fucking Aaron Stinnie, smdh...
Get the rookie in there already and put that jagoff back on 2nd team.

Re: 2022 Training camp thread
Looked like a combo of a shit half-speed rep by Stinnie and a really reckless early Training Camp rep by the rookie. You have to keep your feet if your going 100 % crashing B to A in TC Day 2 or…you’re apt to…well…yeah.
There are going to be a whole lot of pissed coaches and players tonight and my guess is both Hall and Stinnie are going to have a sleepless night.
Re: 2022 Training camp thread
Center JC Tretter Is still available… hmm.
Why not?

Re: 2022 Training camp thread
I truly hope Hainsey is ready otherwise this entire off-season is a waste. Is there a Center we could trade for or sign who would be at least depthV

They’d find a way probably. Julio Jones comes with 4 years of void money, if I’m interpreting the terms correctly.
Re: 2022 Training camp thread
With Hainsey, we'll known more by how OBP responds in the next few days. We see a quicky deal with Tretter, it won't take the ghost of Paul Zimmerman (look him up, kids, he wrote some great books) to tell us what that means.Nobody wrote: ↑Thu Jul 28, 2022 3:50 pm Well, 3 thoughts I guess:

The Trask thing makes as much or as little sense as OBP wants it to make. If they loved him, and thought he had real potential, am I going to kill them for taking him at #64? No. But at the same time, if they're not going to even let him dress on game days two years in, it sounds like the Coach and the GM need to talk more.
I think Darden has the potential to be more than another Dexter Jackson (the App State one.) But time will tell.
As for OL depth in general, no argument from me on that, ever.
The Humphrey thing...man...this shit happens.

Brady better rent a big place and have them boys over 24/7 for guidance and film study.

Re: 2022 Training camp thread
As I recall, there was some hype for Hutcherson last fall as a guy who may make the team, so I'll go with some cautious optimism.
As far as who replaces Jensen in the short term, it's time for Hansey to saddle up and ride.

Lies. We all know Brady is out recruiting centers, making trade calls and scouring the waiver wire for Jensen fill-ins.
Re: 2022 Training camp thread
It is more like Brady doesn't want to get injured by the hack that is playing center right now.Pirate Life wrote: ↑Fri Jul 29, 2022 9:49 amLies. We all know Brady is out recruiting centers, making trade calls and scouring the waiver wire for Jensen fill-ins.

Re: 2022 Training camp thread
Hainsey is a 3rd round pick who had a year to learn the position. If we can't lean on our draft choices, specifically premium draft choices, why use them at all?

Re: 2022 Training camp thread
I know nothing about Tretter other than he's VP on the NFLPA. He was cut in March and is still sitting at home 3 days before August. But over the last 24 hours the media is treating him like a must have commodity.
Meh, seems he wouldn't still be on the market if he were that good.

Re: 2022 Training camp thread
How many scrubs as you call them are trying to get on our roster?
Step up - give me a number. Do we have 19 players and 34 scrubs with 16 more destined for the practice squad.
