We also have to look at the injuries and our secondary right now. Oh btw there’s also the CROWD, that’ll be going bats#%* crazy once kick off happens. Factor in coaching and this is one heck of a hornets nest we are walking into.

To save time regarding any future game predictions. I’m in the “Every game will be a test “ camp, until I see a PASS RUSH !!!!
NO pass rush = NO gimme W’s

If we give up 24 points to NE, I'll be very disappointed.

If he throws a TD right afterwards that would be all time epic

If Red Sox or Celtics fans are any indication, I wouldn't count on it. I'm half expecting those idiots to boo him.

We’ve got some easy QBs coming up. Defense needs to figure their shit out. If we’re still getting gashed then we have serious issues.

Edit:

The good and the bad of this is that the rest of the way, the only real QB we have left to face is Josh Allen - which is good. The bad part is that we struggled with 2 good QB's and one decent QB. If all our defense can beat is bad QB's, the odds of us facing bad QB's in the playoffs is slim to none.
It's a good thing our defense has already proven they just can't beat bad QBs.

1st team to ever beat 3 former NFL MVP in the playoffs enroute to a SB championship.

Beat Rodgers 2x last season.

Just b/c we haven't looked good in the first 3 games doesn't mean that is all we're capable of.

We're getting to the part of our schedule where Matt Ryan will be the best QB we play against in 13 of our remaining 14 opponents with Josh Allen being that exception.

The secondary started slow last season also. For the season we ranked pretty bad in passing yards against in 2020.

It's a young group made up entirely of 1st contract players in the secondary. They are talented, just inconsistent. But with maturity comes consistency. Hopefully a veteran like Sherman can bring some of that into the DB room so those guys realize you need to bring it every week, not just when the lights are bright.

At the end of the day we just need our team healthy come January, if we have our top 3 healthy CBs good to go we'll be fine.

The biggest lesson from last year was not to freak out during the season. For the first time in ever I have no doubt we will make the playoffs so the season is simply getting the team prepped for the REAL season in January.

On an unrelated note, the Jags yesterday reached 19 consecutive losses, tied with the 2007-2009 Detriot Lions for 2nd all time(modern era). Reaching 27 and breaking our record is possibly in reach for them. To reach 27 consecutive, they'd have to lose the next 8. Those next 8 games for them are Titans, Dolphins, Seahawks, Bills, Colts, 49ers, Falcons, and Rams.

The Falcons will probably be the ones to screw up but it is..somewhat realistic that we could see our losses record in jeopardy.

Cd has also been primarily LCB which is where Sherman usually plays. BA was saying CD also plays RCB so I think it will be Sherman in the left and CD will be on the right. Me thinks

Idk , seems a bit risky running Sherman out there in a week. If Brady struggled with learning a new system , how’s he gonna do it in a week? Not to mention I’m worried about getting hurt. He’s had injuries of late and I’d much rather have him in football shape gradually working his way into it, peaking by December. Let Oct/ early Nov be his camp and getting into game shape.
If NE WRs n a rookie QB torch our replacements then they TRULY don’t belong in the National Football League and this FO has done a S#%* JOB with evaluating talent in terms of depth. It’s easy to look good picking high in drafts and signing everyone who gravitates to TB12. The heart of the job though is having quality depth.

We need Gronk for the long haul, I don’t need him getting hurt so hold off on him too.

As for JPP, I’m on the side of caution with him too. I want our guys ready later in the year. I just worry about how effective and how much “GOOD “ JPP he can be with this injury. Last year was the knee, year before neck, he’s just a disaster in terms of health. He’s a big game guy though imho. On top of the guy who gets them fired up!!

Here our 2nd/3rd team looked atrocious in preseason . Then when asked BA said “ No I’m not worried Cus I don’t expect them to be on the field “. Hmmm 🤔 in this league with an extra game ? Idk Bruce..? Not panicking yet but if 2-3 weeks from now we still got a lot of injuries I might start slowly getting worried. I do know there will be a complete nuclear meltdown if we have no pass rush by week 6.

I believe I saw somewhere that we have been playing zone over 65% of the time. If true it makes sense to get Sherman who excels in zone coverage.

Real shame, the greatest TE of all time making his homecoming was getting completely undersold already. They deserved to hook up for a TD in this one.

OJ ahead of Brate on the depth chart? I highly doubt that.

Besides, who really cares who's behind the 2 of them? We usually don't get that far into the TE depth.

Edit: TE Cody McElroy was elevated from the practice squad for the game tomorrow.
