I’ve said for a while that Luka reminds me of Lebron. He is not on the same planet athletically, but he plays a similar game to young Lebron.

I just sat there in disbelief we were not called at pick 5 or 6. I just became more and more incredulous as to what was happeningMiller4Prez64 wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 4:42 pm Orlando winning the lottery finally has me believing this team can be headed in the right direction again.
Re: NBA other than NY thread:

Re: NBA other than NY thread:
His entire NBA career has been one big injury it feels like. The few times he was healthy enough to play he was clearly a difference maker on the defensive end, but had a long ways to go offensively. With him being out two years, it’s kind of impossible to expect anything from him. If he can get healthy and do anything that’s a plus for the Magic, but I fear all those knee injuries have already ruined what potential he had.Snake wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 5:07 pmWhy hasn’t Isaac played in two years?Miller4Prez64 wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 4:42 pm Orlando winning the lottery finally has me believing this team can be headed in the right direction again.
Re: NBA other than NY thread:
So he’s effectively been out of the lineup for two years after tearing an ACL. And I saw that he just had a procedure on his hamstring. Perhaps the hamstring has been lingering for a while

Re: NBA other than NY thread:
I think the team wanted to be extra patient with him anyways for two reasons. First, they were tanking so having some dude they elevated from Lakeland play is more valuable to the team than a veteran like Isaac. Second, people felt the Magic rushed him back from injury when he played in the Disney World bubble and got injured again, so the team was definitely going to be careful with him this time.
It’s worth noting that due to the time missed from injury, the Magic are no longer on the hook for the entirety of Isaac’s guaranteed money. The final year of his deal no longer has any guarantees and I think they year before that he is only guaranteed like seven million or so. So if he doesn’t come back from injury strong, at least we won’t have to worry about him killing our cap space as a modern Grant Hill.

I haven't thought about it very hard, but my eyes tell me GSW won't have too much trouble with Miami or Boston. Am I wrong?

Re: NBA other than NY thread:
Boston will be a problem because they have the #1 defense in the league + the DPOY at point. The way the can switch everything without sacrificing their defensive integrity as much would hurt GSW.

GSW in 5. Too much shooting.
Re: NBA other than NY thread:
I’m not a big NBA fan, but I’m sitting at a bar and they are replaying game 6 of the finals. Holy Hell! The Warriors are a freak of nature. I don’t know about all their individual players but Curry is practically a one-man wrecking crew. Even when he’s not in a play, he draws so much attention that it leaves others with “Golden” opportunities.
If that’s how most of this series went, then GS was the easy pick to take home the Gold.

Don't tread on me
Re: NBA other than NY thread:
I know it went 6, but that was one of the least entertaining and sloppy finals in quite some time.

Re: NBA other than NY thread:
I think Chet had the most upside and Jabari was the best fit. Orlando remains committed to refusing to draft players that can consistently make threes. Banchero, Suggs and Fultz are all shot creators instead of shot makers. Too bad they can’t create any shots for anyone actually capable of making them lol.

John Wall is planning to sign with the Clippers once he clears waivers, sources tell @wojespn.
Good move

Re: NBA other than NY thread:
It’s pretty obvious that he’s going to the Suns. Especially since I just read that some dumb rule wont allow Brooklyn to acquire Bam Adebayo in a trade with Miami. Phoenix is pretty much the only place that can give the Nets a good offer based around a Ayton S&T while remaining a championship threat. Nets really need to demand a lot of picks with a lack of protections on them since they screwed themselves (again) with the Harden trade.

3 1st and 4 additional pick swaps...basically if the Nets are bad (which they may be TERRIBLE) the Rockets can have their next 5 1st round picks.Primeminister wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 7:42 pmI’m out of touch with the trades. Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns have agreed on a four-year super max extension, his agents tell Adrian Wojnarowski
Doubt Durant go to Suns..
