Arguably the easiest out of division game on our schedule, so it figures the NFL would find a way to make it a pain in our ass.

Let's roll another joint

There's somewhere I got to go..."

Re: Official Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2022 Schedule Thread
I'm thinking moreso Buccaneers brass pleaded with them not to put the Chiefs game in Munich for monetary reasons.
The Seahawks, a bad northern pacific team who just traded their elite Superstar QB are not going to be as big of a draw as a team that just won a championship 3 years ago and have the most purely talented QB probably ever.
Plus, on a neutral field why wouldn't you want to face a weaker opponent?

Is it just me or would the week of November 20th be a very late bye week?

On the radio this morning they said the Nucs were going to play the Chiefs in Germany until Brady came back and the Bucs argued that the game was too important to be overseas...so you may be right.King Bootz wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 7:44 amI'm thinking moreso Buccaneers brass pleaded with them not to put the Chiefs game in Munich for monetary reasons.

If they start the season on Sept 11(the week after Labor Day), Nov 20th will be Week 11.King Bootz wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 8:05 amIs it just me or would the week of November 20th be a very late bye week?

Okay. A little late but not as bad as I thought. I just always assumed most if not all teams had their bye weeks before the week of Thanksgiving.CannonFire wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 8:59 amIf they start the season on Sept 11(the week after Labor Day), Nov 20th will be Week 11.King Bootz wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 8:05 am

That makes all the sense in the world. Too much money left on the table putting Mahomes vs Brady in Germany at 9:30 in the morning.uscbucsfan wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 8:36 amOn the radio this morning they said the Nucs were going to play the Chiefs in Germany until Brady came back and the Bucs argued that the game was too important to be overseas...so you may be right.King Bootz wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 7:44 am

I’d argue that putting Brady v Mahomes in Germany could grow the game/brand more.

Gonna be a brutal schedule this year. But several games that should be incredible matchups.

You're first take was the same as mine. For a totally unrelated reason, I happened to look at my calendar and that's when I realized it wasn't as late as I originally thought.King Bootz wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 9:06 amOkay. Wait how have you been on this board this long and never mentioned that that I’ve seen?!?
That’s legit. I go by what the attendance is. We’re a fairweather fanbase in comparison to other places.

I think I mentioned it back on the official board at some point. It’s not something that comes up to mention tbh. I was just busting your balls for fun because it was too easy.
Re: Official Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2022 Schedule Thread
The way I look at it, with this schedule, the goal should be winning the South - thus guaranteeing we don't have to win 3 Road Games in the playoffs - and doing so as healthy as possible. Winning 13, 14, 15 games is probably a stretch unless a bunch of teams that should be good wash out. Go 11-6, win the division with a week or two to spare, open the playoffs at home, and go from there.
As we proved in '20, we just need to get in.

Health over everything. If healthy this team can win the entire damn tournament. This is the type of season where after clinching a berth I would think very hard about sitting any players nursing minor injuries.MJW wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 10:49 pmThe way I look at it, with this schedule, the goal should be winning the South - thus guaranteeing we don't have to win 3 Road Games in the playoffs - and doing so as healthy as possible. I totally disagree with your last sentence. The Bucs may struggle to find fans but once someone does become a Buc fan they rarely, if ever, walk away.

That's because in Florida, everyone is from somewhere else. It's tough for new teams in Florida to find their footing. Go to a Rays game when the Yankees or Red Sox are in town and look at how many fans are in the stands cheering for the visiting team. Nuff said.

The Bucs don't have this problem anymore either. They've been in the league 45 years now, so that excuse needs to be buried.nybf wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 11:16 amDo the Lightning have this problem?Defense5599 wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 10:11 am

Prior to them being a dominant team, yes they did. And even still, Lightning season ticket holders will sell off their tickets to Bruins, Rangers, or Devils fans.nybf wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 11:16 amDo the Lightning have this problem?Defense5599 wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 10:11 am

The draw there is Brady. If you are a German football fan and Brady isn't enough to get you to a game I really doubt Russell Wilson would've put it over the top for you.

Damn I was hoping we'd start the season off strong with a string of wins. I guess 1-1 will have to do
