Payers are not reading any contract. His agent's lawyers reads the contract. Advises on all the pertinent information to said agent who then explains the important points to that player.

I'm sure the big agents/agencies have contract shorthand with the GMs and the league, and also have underlings who can "skim" them and rubber stamp those deals. A veteran minimum deal is a veteran minimum deal. An RFA or EFRA deal is boilerplate. And if any GM actually did try something "sneaky" or underhanded in such a deal, all that would be accomplished is alienating the client and the agent, who then blackballs the team whenever possible. Terrible, terrible business by the GM.

I bet someone like Drew Rosenhaus actually needs to pour over and review a very small number of deals personally.

To answer the OP, I’m a big fan of Godwin because he has shown the ability to do everything. Acrobatic catches. high level of difficulty freak catches. Deep threat. Yards after catch. Extremely physical style play and does not shy away from contact. It could also lead to him falling apart faster. Look at all those injuries. But in a vacuum, the dude is great.

I mean AJ was across Corey Davis, Julio, and now D Smith. DK across from Lockett, who is legit af imo. Deebo got Kittle? No one for Terry. By far it's helped.

Our top three are exactly what we want in their roles. Hope they all stay healthy.

Perhaps more importantly Godwin (like Evans) might be one of the most low maintenance players in the league when history for the most part tell us that WR's are most notoriously difficult personalities in the NFL

I would take every one of them over Godwin. I'd probably take Godwin over all of them at his salary vs their (projected) salaries and with his chemistry with Brady. I wouldn't pay wide receivers except in very unique situations, though.
