Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Reading a bit more, the Hall pick fits a need like a glove. Seems the biggest knock on him was being a DE/DT tweener. Let’s go!
Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Oh he does. Clearly they had him, Lloyd, Wyatt, etc on the same tier. The other guys went off the board and one was left.
Not my BPA, but I get it. I like it too. He's a good, long player that fits right into everything we do here.

Wonder how many of those guys were there at 27.

With less production than Anthony Nelson.wmgravytrain wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 7:44 pm Reading a bit more, the Hall pick fits a need like a glove. Seems the biggest knock on him was being a DE/DT tweener. Let’s go!

I had to get up and walk away from the TV with that Vikings guy on, so painfully awkward to see this dude make the moment all about himself.
Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
I guess he could be DE on our four man rush.

Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Yea, one might expect a 4-3 DE/3-4 OLB tweener who is taller and lighter than a 3-4 DE/4-3 DT to have a different production baseline in college, but hey, sometimes you just have to decide if you like apples or oranges better.mdb1958 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 7:55 pmWith less production than Anthony Nelson.wmgravytrain wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 7:44 pm Reading a bit more, the Hall pick fits a need like a glove. No way Ravens let Dean slide. They know talent. That's their whole brand.

Quarterback freefall.

It's just not a good class. Trask would be the first QB taken in this class.

Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Some really interesting guys could still be available for us at #60
My guy Travis Jones still sitting there.
Nakobe Dean still sitting there.
Bryan Cook, who could be an excellent strong safety.
The entire tight end class.
Isaiah Spiller, who I like better than Hall or Walker.
Christian Harris, the LB from Alabama.
Darian Kinnard, the road grading guard.
A bunch of others. We'll get a good player.

Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
I'm genuinely surprised about Willis. The others? Meh. But the guy has some elite traits. A TON of things to work on. But there probably hasn't been a combination of raw arm strength and running explosiveness since Vick.

Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
So my hilariously under-prepared take is that a lot of teams will regret letting Ojabo fall all the way to Baltimore at 45.

Re: The Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Yeah, most likely. Baltimore is consistently the best drafting team in the league because Baltimore rarely overthinks what they do. "The draft's best safety sitting there? Sure. Elite center prospect? Yep. Top 15 type edge rusher once he's healthy? We'll take it."CantonJester wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 8:32 pm So my hilariously under-prepared take is that a lot of teams will regret letting Ojabo fall all the way to Baltimore at 45.

Dean is STILL there. Dare I get excited?
Also eyeballing Petit-Frere out of Ohio State. Little Bro has played both left and right tackle, so he could be a fantastic rookie backup at OL where, if your last name isn't Wirfs, you generally need some time to develop anyway.
