Yeah, he's got a really interesting built. But like I said, I worry about his frame. He's going to take lots of shots to the ribs/knees. A good comp - in terms of build - would be Kiko Alonso. He was 6'3 238 and he basically missed 4 full seasons out of 8 with those types of injuries.mdb1958 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 06, 2022 12:17 amHeight 6'3 1/2"MJW wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 11:46 pm
I don't know if I'd play him on offense, but he'd be a damn interesting addition to Bowles's defense. He can play on all three levels and do whatever you ask him to do. My big concern is his physique. He's very high-cut and he'll be prone to lower body and rib injuries.

Is it just me or does Isaiah Spiller look like he's running on sand? The dude looks incredibly slow on the field.
Why is he rated so highly? Walker and Hall both look better

Re: College Prospects
He's not the most explosive back, that's true. But he's got a combo I love - he has good vision and he's decisive. He sees the correct lane and he hits it hard. Combine that with excellent balance and plus running power, and that's the makings of a good NFL back. He's also a good blocker and a natural receiver.
Walker to me is the best back in the class. The vision/patience/burst he shows is special.
I don't like Hall at all. He's too upright as a runner, he bounces outside when the blocking is inside, and he frequently makes one move too many in the backfield.
Some more:
- You want the closest thing to Alvin Kamara? James Cook. He's a bit smaller. But the skill set is basically identical. Someone is going to get a steal because he's smaller than ideal and was never the designated guy.
- The 3rd-5th round back who has the best chance of becoming Frank Gore? Dameon Pierce.
- The guy nobody is talking about who will be on an NFL roster for 8-10 years? Clint Ratkovich. He can be a single back. He can be a traditional fullback. He can be a 3rd down back because of his blocking and soft hands. He can play short yardage. He can play special teams. He's the kind of back the Patriots always seem to have rostered.

Re: College Prospects
He's made to be a 5T. 6'5 300 and loooong arms. But I'm pretty sure he'll be 25 soon and he's not a sneaky good athlete or anything. He'll be on somebody's 90 man and then he'll be my kid's high school gym coach next year.

Insiders are back and forth between Detroit (Brunell is QB coach) and PittsburghMJW wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 12:47 amYeah, I'd say he'll probably be the first QB taken. If Kenny Pickett's hands were an inch larger, I think he'd be the first guy. But it's a strange world we live in.Crocaneers wrote: ↑Wed Mar 09, 2022 12:07 pm
Watching Willis very closely for the past two years, he's more Michael Vick.
With the Seattle/ Denver trade, there is a lot of smoke on him getting selected in Seattle. That said, Detroit sits on the #2
I dont want Willis to be selected as starter so he can get strenght and NFL experience. Panties and Falgone's are sitting 6 and 8
I think Willis will be QB1 drafted.
I do not think he goes to Detroit. I just don't. Dan Campbell made getting Jared Goff a key element of the Stafford trade, and Jared Goff is the opposite of someone like Willis. I think the Detroit rumors are coming from Detroit so they can shop the pick to one of those teams you mentioned. And I think Detroit will probably find their guy at #32 (unless they move up.) If they can drop back to, say, #8 (Not sure Carolina has the draft capital), get somebody like Garrett Wilson there, draft maybe Matt Corrall with their 2nd first rounder, and get next year's 1st plus Atlanta's two 2nd rounders this year...that's a great day for them.
One week we find out

Mt San Antonio College was when I started talking about him in 2019.
