I watched Cam on the Red Zone, and he didn't look bad in the plays I saw. He FINALLY learned sliding is a QB's best friend when scrambling.

There's a very short list of things a player could do or not do that would make him toxic to an NFL team, if he had talent.

Cam doesn't have much talent anymore.

Cam's play was in steady decline after his 2015 MVP season. It bottomed out last year in New England. He was arguably the worst non-rookie starting QB in the league.

He went back to Carolina, and rode a short-term high. But he's lost most of his running prowess, which means teams no longer have to devote resources to slowing down his legs. Which means the juicy passing windows he enjoyed during his prime are now closed. Which means his arm - never particularly accurate - was going to get exposed, even if he hadn't lost a step. Which he did. I'd even call it a dead-arm.

Roethlisberger, Cam, and Matt Ryan should all call it careers this offseason IMHO.

Is Rhule still a great coach? Asking for myself since I've seen little evidence to support this. A QB platoon definitely isn't the makings of a great coach IMO.
