I'm so nervous about this Niners/Rams game

If Philly beats Dallas next week, I don't see a scenario where we don't play the Eagles (assuming we win). But if Dallas beats them, it looks to me like it all comes down to the Niners/Rams.

Rams win, we are the three seed vs the Niners.

Niners win, we are the two seed vs the Eagles.

If the Rams win we likely get a direct sequel, with the Niners and Rams meeting in round one. While Dallas plays Arizona again after playing this week.
LAME.

Niners win and we get the much more interesting scenarios. Seems like every Bucs fan should be rooting for SF.

Gotcha.
Or basically, We gotta win, and the Rams gotta lose.

Here are the scenarios I see:

Bucs win:
They play the Eagles

Bucs lose:
The Rams win - the Bucs play the Eagles
The 49ers win, The Cardinals win - the Bucs are the 3rd seed and play the 49ers
The 49ers win, the Seahawks win - the Bucs are the 4th seed and play the Cardinals

So basically pray the Seahawks don’t win

We are a tier above the eagles and 49ers. Cards might be trouble.

It only matters if the Buccaneers lose to the Panthers this week.

I am seeing different possibilities for both of these. Are you assuming the Eagles beat the Cowboys?

Must have been something like that. Too many scenarios. You are correct that I did not account for the change in the Cowboys v. Eagles game.

We win or lose the SB this year for the same reason as last year......

How well the DEFENSE plays.

Hopefully Bowles can use Brown's departure to their advantage in terms of motivation, preparation and so on.

Does it all count out to 4 in a row?

So we have win five games instead of four to keep this 'winning streak' extending into next year...

I can live with that.

Here's where things stand in the NFC going into the final week. I put the ones who control their own destiny first:

IN THE PLAYOFFS:

Green Bay- Clinched NFC North and #1 overall seed

Tampa Bay- Clinched NFC South. Can get #2 seed with win plus Los Angeles loss

Dallas- Clinched NFC East

Los Angeles- Clinches NFC West with win or Arizona loss. Can get #2 seed with win or Arizona loss plus Tampa Bay loss.

Arizona- Clinches NFC West with win plus Los Angeles loss

Philadelphia- Clinched wild card spot

IN THE CHASE:

San Francisco- Win or New Orleans loss

New Orleans- Win plus San Francisco loss

MARK YOUR CALENDAR. NFL DRAFT BEGINS APRIL 28:

Detroit

NY Giants

Carolina

Seattle

Chicago

Washington

Atlanta

Minnesota

Quite a few teams in contention for the NFC South. Even teams not in the NFC South. It truly is a weird year in football.

So if we lose we play the Cardinals? At home if they lose? In Arizona if they win?
If we win we play Eagles, 49ers, or the Saints? At home?

Is this right? It's possible for us to be 2nd seed, 3rd seed, or 5th seed after today?

2nd, 3rd, or 4th.

We won the division so we obviously can't drop to 5th

We can only play the eagles or 49ers from what I can tell with the playoff sim.

I think our best route is to win, Rams lose, Cardinals win.

That gives us Eagles opening round, and allows for the most favorable matchup opportunities overall.

Ideally from there the Rams beat the Cowboys, and the Cardinals beat the 49ers.

Imo anyway.
