For the Saints, it's actually better than that. They'll be able to spread that over 2 years after they officially announce the retirement. This year will be a $13M cap hit this year and a $36M cap hit next year (rounded off), and then he's off the books. Had he stayed on and rode the IR train, the Saints would be on the hook for about $40M this year $ $69M next year. Overall, this saves the Saints about $60M over the next 2 years.

We have the best QB, HC, GM, and overall roster in the division. I don't fear any NFCS team going into the 2025 season(other than Saints still ongoing dirty play).

Raheem Morris is still Raheem Morris and the Failcons still the Failcons. The Panthers have a middle school child playing QB. The Saints have a rookie head coach that's somehow younger than the rookie QB they just drafted.

C'mon Bootz.. The Bucs aren't the same team. going into a new season, as they were a couple of years ago. The past record in this case really is irrelevent. There are things that have changed with this team, mostly for the better.

Baker, going into his third year (albeit with a new OC) is adjusted to everything here and seems poised to take the Bucs to the next level. I dunno, I think we do better this year than the last. Are we a 14-win team yet? I'd say the odds are better than they ever have been.
