And both were absolute smack downs. No room for doubt.
Superbowl LIX Discussion
Re: Superbowl LIX Discussion
We also had the pleasure of shutting down the Eagles Vet stadium, and the following year, opening their brand new stadium with another smackdown for good measure.

And the Steelers in 2005. Although they benefited from some horrible officiating in their Super Bowl against Seattle. At one point, Matt Hasselbeck threw a pick and ended up tackling the guy who picked him off and the officials flagged him for an "illegal block below the waist". If I were him, I would've gone after the official who threw the flag and beat the shit outta him.

I was preparing for the Super Bowl weekend, but I found out it’s next weekend. Damn
Royal Rumble will keep me occupied then. Tiffy Time!

Re: Superbowl LIX Discussion
Fun fact
If the Eagles lose the Super Bowl they will have 666 wins & 666 losses in franchise history (since 1933)
Re: Superbowl LIX Discussion
Fitting.
Re: Superbowl LIX Discussion
I only have a couple prop bets figured out so far. Worthy over 4.5yds rushing and Goedert over 0.5yds rushing. Waiting for some other lines to move a little before betting anything else

If the Chiefs "win" this Sunday, they will have built a dynasty off the corpses of Jimmy Garoppalo, Brock Purdy, and Jalen Hurts.
Talk about right place right time for the Chiefs dynasty.
I don't think the Chiefs beat a single opponent the Patriots faced in any of their 9 Super Bowls. Hell Jake Delhomme is a better QB than any Mahomes faced in any Super Bowl he's "won".
Only time Mahomes faced a equal or better QB, he got his ass beat and embarrassed 31-9. Couldn't even score a TD.
Just some interesting factoids about the game and everything surrounding it.

You’re just going to ignore the other teams he beat getting to the big game, huh?BucsNBills wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 4:38 pm If the Chiefs "win" this Sunday, they will have built a dynasty off the corpses of Jimmy Garoppalo, Brock Purdy, and Jalen Hurts.

Right. Lugz forgets the Chiefs have gone through Jackson, Burrow, and Allen consistently...3 guys who will likely be HOFers (Jackson is a lock) and only 1 has a single playoff win against them. Brady's notches of losses to Foles and Eli isn't amazing.acmillis wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 5:33 pmYou’re just going to ignore the other teams he beat getting to the big game, huh?BucsNBills wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 4:38 pm If the Chiefs "win" this Sunday, they will have built a dynasty off the corpses of Jimmy Garoppalo, Brock Purdy, and Jalen Hurts.

All that and the narrative of QB vs. QB is dumb. Brady beating Mahomes means as little as Eli being 2-0 against Brady in the SB.
QBs face defenses not other QBs. Mahomes statistically is already the 2nd best QB of all-time in the playoffs. A win helps further cement his legacy all alone with Brady (not above, yet), but even with a loss, he's just a step below Brady.

I'm just saying Mahomes got to face 3 bad QBs during his "dynasty" run.acmillis wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 5:33 pmYou’re just going to ignore the other teams he beat getting to the big game, huh?BucsNBills wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 4:38 pm If the Chiefs "win" this Sunday, they will have built a dynasty off the corpses of Jimmy Garoppalo, Brock Purdy, and Jalen Hurts.

And that's not counting all the clearly favorable calls which enabled the Chiefs success.

Lol, you gotta love the moving goalposts of the Mahomes haters. In 2022, Hurts was ELITE. Couldn't be stopped. hell, even earlier this season people around here were saying that Hurts was special, top-5 or whatever.
Now? He's no good. He's bad, even. Doesn't deserve to even be called a starting QB, lol.

Don't think you've been around the board all that long but, in this case, you absolutely must consider the source.Sooner06 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 7:08 pmBucsNBills wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 6:47 pm
