Didn't Gruden coach the Raiders two different times?

I totally forgot he went back to the Raiders. Wow.

But he was good. So was Gibbs. I guess maybe I was thinking has anyone gone back to a coach as bad as sexy rexy?

Rex won some playoff games, had one if the best defenses in the league, and did all of that while in the same division as prime Brady.

Was he great? Absolutely not. But hes been the best coach they've had since Broadway Joe was under center.

Rex Ryan's coaching record: 65-68 (0.489)
Todd Bowles coaching record: 48–66 (.421)

Parcells was pretty good too... Maybe Gruden would consider coming back. He's rested and wants to rebuild his image. Fixing this moribund franchise would make him a New York folk hero.

I love Gruden and I think he's hilarious but seems like most people, even on this board, don't hold that viewpoint. I'd like to see him get another shot.

He was in Tampa a few weeks ago hanging out with the Glazers (forgot which home game) with which according to some local reports had a chance to apologize to the Glazers for his actions (Glazers removed him from ring of honor after those reports) and it was received well with which I hope he'll be reinstated one day. But atleast the first step to forgiveness was made.

Totally forgot Parcells coached there. Yeah, Parcells definitely would be head and shoulders above Rex.

Didn't he beat Brady twice with the Sanchize under center? If Caddy's cleats get into the Hall for a few game stretch, that should get Ryans visor a spot.

Dumpster fire of an organization. Team is pathetic and younger fans of this team should pick a different favorite.

To be honest, I wasn't a fan of them going back to the 80's Sack Exchange kit and logo. Their old ones from the Namath era are the best. I did like the new uniforms they got rid of last year, those are much better than the current (imo).

Happy new year!

He's a dream owner for fans who think they would be great GM's. His single biggest fault is he's so easily swayed by fans and the press. Ironically, these same fans he listens to, want him to sell the team. That, he chooses NOT to listen to.

Contrary to many people who love the NFL, fans are far too emotional about their teams. They are the LAST group of people any owner should listen too.

Not sure if this answers your question, my own personal opinion is he's ok if he'd hire a GM who has total control and stop reading social media.

I have to say it was fun to watch Rodgers prove just how much better Brady was by failing in New York so badly.

If us Bucs fans think the Glazers are shitty owners, Woody Johnson is ten times worse. There's a reason why certain teams are consistently picking in the top ten of the draft every year.... bad organization and bad scouts. The Jets are a perfect example. The two guys close to Johnson leading the search are Mike Tannenbaum and Rick Spielman... two guys who are known failures in NFL GM circles. Tannenbaum was with the Jets previously and ran them into the ground and Johnson brought him back?? WTF???

Woody Johnson fired Saleh because he found the team’s performance in London to be embarrassing to his snooty British friends.

Eric Mangini predicted this because he was also a head coach fired in anger by WJ. Lol And tells you everything you need to know.

Maybe the Jets should come out with co-head coaches. 2 heads are better than 1!

The partying hasn't stopped at the McFan household since our beloved NYJ's hired Aaron Glenn. It's nice they thought outside the box for once and went with a defensive minded head coach with zero head coaching experience. Great things continue to lie ahead for this winning franchise because they never fail to demonstrate the winning formula to continue their decades of NFL dominance.

Fan page states that 8 out of 10 Jets fans want him to hit the road. I have not met any one that make up the "2" that don't.
