AJ Brown is a top tier WR1
DeVonta Smith is (at worst), a top tier WR2
Mialata is one of the best OT's in the NFL (ranked 3rd by PFF)
Dickerson was rated as the 16th best Guard in the NFL (by PFF)
Barkley, when healthy, is one of the best RB's in the league
Huff was ranked as the 10th (PFF), best EDGE in terms of pass rushing. He was 6th last year in Sack%, 2nd in Press%, and 1st in Holds drawn.

I wish we had dogshit and name recognition like that.

If we're getting praised for "keeping" players they certainly deserve a ton of credit. The group they re-signed is much better than the group we did. Ours consisted of giving Baker Mayfield a $100 deal, using our franchise tag, re-signing a few 30 year old+ players to 1-2 year deals and signing a crop of JAGS.

Name recognition is important for ticket sales
Famous names like Tom Brady and Jon Gruden are crucial for boosting ticket sales, and that's exactly what the Glazers are aiming for.

Everyone knew the players quit on their coaches weeks before that game happened... they did lose 5 of their prior 6 games, almost all to teams who were worse than them. It's why those coaches were replaced this off-season.

Players who quit on coaches got huge raises then? Interesting strategy.

It's not interesting... it's telling. It's telling you that everyone in the organization knows that the coaches were overmatched and needed to be replaced, so that's what they did.

We fired Lovie Smith and Dirk Koetter and gave LaVonte David and Mike Evans extensions. Is that "interesting strategy" or common sense?

Weren’t the Eagles like 11-1 at one point? That’s not really an apt comparison.

LOL, yeah, it's different.

Let's pretend you're right, that it's not the same. Those players were in a Super Bowl just the prior year, they had first hand knowledge of the game plans required to get there and knew that the ones they were getting week in and week out, weren't good enough. It was brewing for weeks (you wouldn't know that being in FL though), that the players up here were not happy (despite winning the prior weeks vs KC and Buffalo). When they got smoked by the Niners, to them, that was the last straw. It was evident in the Dallas game the following week. Everyone up here is still wondering why Sirianni wasn't fired too.

It's irrelevant, but for accuracy sake, they were 10-1.

I guess we know who's running the team up there. Clearly it's working.

Yeah, Howie Roseman. It's certainly NOT Nick Sirianni.

For real. At least post SB you have the combine, free agency and draft to look forward to. We get a few OTAs before TC starts at the end of July. So 12 weeks to go

Things like this are why Mahomes is still and will remain behind Brady as a QB. This play design is Andy Reid and Co. It's genius. It's high football IQ that's winning games for them. It's not Mahomes drafting this up, it's Andy Reid.

Brady won games off being a game manager, making clutch throws, etc. not a constant barrage of crafty play calling.

Doesn't mean Mahomes is a bad QB, but he's certainly the beneficiary of very very very good play calling.

Greg Roman literally brought the Ravens backfield to LA. He also coached Hayden Hurst in Baltimore.

The offensive line is more important than every player on that list except one.

Alt makes the 3rd Olinemen they've drafted 1st round in the last 4 drafts. It's not from lack of trying but their Oline has been trash.

I'd say they have the talent to be a good unit, but coaching and playcalling matters alot with OL play. The Chargers had the seventh-worst run-pass ratio in the NFL, lost 8 of their last 9 games, and had no running back exceed 70 rushing yards during that stretch.

I have full faith and confidence that Harbaugh is going to fix their run game in a big way, and as that becomes more adjusted, the offense will become more balanced, and their whole OL should improve. It's much easier to look good playing offensive line when you're moving forward at the snap instead of backwards.

Good luck to DeAngelo Hardy who signed with the Ravens.

Jets got a free one signing Jarius Monroe.

With the rumors Netflix is stealing the Christmas Day two game-set, what are the total costs of being an NFL Fan now?

$399 for YouTubeTV's Sunday Ticket, plus the $79 a month fee.
$14-15 for Amazon Prime's package for TNF.
Netflix is somewhere around $19.99? Correct?

How can the NFL expect the economy(never been worse according to some standards) to pay for this?

I will continue to watch the game through *other* means on the Internet. Fuck the NFL and fuck these media conglomerate pieces of garbage. The reason it’s so expensive is because all of this pomp and circumstance bullshit around the game. You could have a fixed camera at the 50 yard line, a high school announcer, and metal bleachers, and I would watch the shit.

Fuck the NFL, fuck Disney, fuck the globalists, fuck your mother.

The UFL is making roughly under a million people a week watching the game.

It's not the game, it's the conglomerate that is the NFL. They know they have more than half of the viewership by the balls. They know what they're doing, and they're going to continue to do it. The question is... when does the NFL outpoint itself?

When does the game being regularly available for mostly free(CBS/FOX/NBC being local cable channels that even poorer folks have) stop.

Been around, mostly lurking. Just trying to make the most out of life. Living with the pups, trying to just keep my sanity in this crazy world.

Hope all is well with most of you. I check the place at least once every few days, just don't have the time to post as much as I used to. Started a job in sales, making it work to the best of my ability.

No need for the monthly Youtube sub.
Amazon Prime is $14 6.99 a year so you are in the ball park, but a bit high.
Netflix is 6.99 / month if you go with the w/ ads version.
