Wouldn't hate it if we went EDGE rusher 1 & 2. This class is deep.

First year I won’t watch the combine in about 10. Brings a tear to my eye.

Re: 2024 NFL Combine Discussion Thread
They mentioned this and I've also noticed the growing trend. A lot of 5-6 year college players in this draft. And it's not as if it's guys who are redshirting. A ton of transfers, guys who start in JUCO, guys who are putting a lot of tape out there.
I think that's why so many are coming into the league and hit the ground running. The learning curve isn't as great because they don't come into the league with a ton of inexperience.
The downside to that is mostly 1 sided. The window is smaller for making as much money as you can. If you come into the league at 24-25, you're not eligible for a 2nd contract until you're 27-28. And if you don't get it then you're waiting until you're almost 30. I'm sure teams love it though.

Crazy! Myles Cole arm length 36 7/8

Did I hear them say Jalyx Hunt used to be a safety?
Re: 2024 NFL Combine Discussion Thread
I half way wonder if Darius Robinson is taking a dive. He sure is not doing well.
Re: 2024 NFL Combine Discussion Thread
McCarthy is one of my biggest gut checks as a prospect evaluator. He made some throws and felt pressure in ways that immediately said “NFL quarterback” to me. There were handful of plays that jumped off the screen with athletic ability. In terms of traits, you have a guy who can feel the pocket and adjust, throw into tight windows, throw on the move, and anticipate.
He doesn’t show those things in droves on tape because his role was game manager on a stacked roster and well coached Michigan team. as a result the raw production isn’t there. Clearly, a lot of NFL personnel guys see it the same way.

What are the medical concerns with Peyton Wilson?
Re: 2024 NFL Combine Discussion Thread
Can someone explain to me why Marvin Harrison Jr is seemingly more coveted than Malik Nabers? These 2 aren't in the same hemisphere. Nabers is going to be top 5 very very soon. Harrison Jr might be good but I don't see him being better than Nabers. Something tells me it's the bloodlines that are giving him a leg up.

Well I wonder if Nabers made Brian Thomas or the other way around

From just reading the internet the past few weeks; 3" taller, supposedly faster(my opinion is that maybe better top end, but Nabers is super quick), longer arms, better at catching in traffic, MUCH better body control, better footwork, and more polished.Bootz wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 7:46 am Can someone explain to me why Marvin Harrison Jr is seemingly more coveted than Malik Nabers? Harrison Jr is considered ready day 1 and generational and Nabers is considered very good...but as we all know, things may change in the league.
Re: 2024 NFL Combine Discussion Thread
Harrison certainly produced in college. I watched every game he played. But you’re not going to get a detailed view of things until you get the coach film for receivers. And I’ve not looked at anything regarding him.
Nothing surprises me with the draft. He could end up a complete bust. It happens. Some traits translate. Some traits don’t.

Re: 2024 NFL Combine Discussion Thread
Harrison Jr with is length, speed, and mostly insane body control reminds me of Randy Moss while most say Nabers is a DJ Moore, but I only really watched 3 LSU games last year. He was really good, but there's something about watching Harrison Jr. run, jump, and contort that screams super star. I didn't get THAT impression when I watched Nabers, but again...I was casually watching.

4.65+ for Kinchens. :\
Re: 2024 NFL Combine Discussion Thread
I think it's interesting that Bowles said that he doesn't pay attention to the combine. He is there for the interviews and if someone say runs a ridiculous 40 that he didn't have his radar on then he will look at the tape to see if it translates on the field
Re: 2024 NFL Combine Discussion Thread
Bowles is 100% correct here.
