Welcome Thomas McGaughey
We have a new special teams coach. I don't know much about this guy but anyone is better than Keith Armstrong
Re: Welcome Thomas McGaughey
Hires like this...it's real hard to know anything unless you're directly involved in the coaching world in a real way.
Trust the process, I guess.

He got fired less than a month ago by a sorry Giants team. Tells me all I need to know.
Most hated man in America.

Who would you have taken over Liam and could we have gotten them?BuccaNOLEer wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2024 7:02 amMakes you wonder what Bucs ownership is really up to. They turned down more qualified OC candidates for Liam, and now this.

Here's the interview room:
Bucs - "So the Giants were ranked worse than us in Special Teams, why should we hire you?
McGaughey - "Have you seen the players we have on the Giants? There was a guy born 2023 years ago that wouldn't have helped them"
Bucs - "Fair enough"

Well, that means the Tandyman could happen with a quick snap of the fingers. I was always impressed with him being ready when his number was finally called even if it were/was short term.

There were a couple other established OC's that made lateral moves that had previously worked with Baker. Apparently the Bucs didn't even consider them.Grahamburn wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2024 9:37 amWho did they "turn down?"BuccaNOLEer wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2024 7:02 am

Coen hire whelmed me enough, this one I’m not really feeling but as others have said our STs have already sucked outside of the kicker/punter so I’m not gonna pretend to be upset either.

Did the Bucs turn them down or did the OC candidates not take the offer? Do we even know that much?BuccaNOLEer wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2024 7:02 amMakes you wonder what Bucs ownership is really up to. They turned down more qualified OC candidates for Liam, and now this.

Just re-sign Chase. The rest is a far far second.
