I think Baker’s only back if Bowles is back. And I’m still not sure Bowles is back. Gotta see how we compete next week. If we compete, then it helps his chances. If it’s ugly like last year, that’s a different story.
I'm okay with Baker coming back. He's grown on me over the season. He got us the division title and a winning record his first year with the team during a season everyone expected us to be drafting in the top 5. There's practically zero chance we don't bring him back and given we're also almost certainly keeping Bowles as well, Baker is the best play for 2024 at minimum.
So you want us to trade for Mac jones? Sweet Jesus you realllly hate this team
You want Kyle Trask. You really have no room to speak.
Mac has gotten worse every season, demonstrably and statistically, there’s no denying that, AND we’d have to give up draft capital to acquire him.
Trask is a mystery who is as cheap as you can get.
At least we both agree we should be drafting a qb though

Mac Jones has talent. He has the arm to make every throw and is very smart. He has not been supported by the Pats organization in any way.
I'd throw them a 3rd or 4th.
Trask is not a mystery. This coaching staff knows exactly what he can do which is why he's never been given the starting job.

Right... two not earning a starting job when you are competing with Tom Brady is a big indictment. Makes sense to you at least.

Not earning a starting job against Baker Mayfield IS an indictment.

Not just Brady. He couldn't beat out Mayfield either.

I think the competition was close... but veteran status won the day. I won't pretend that Trask will be great, but I won't call him trash like some around here choose too.
If NE is smart they keep Jones and actually build around him. You put that guy on the Cowboys or 49ers and he’s a Pro Bowler. The talent around him wouldn’t make most teams’ rosters.
