Has anyone ever fallen off a proverbial cliff like Russ? One day, MVP consideration. Next day, practice squad.

He's actually been pretty good this season and I imagine they are going to ride with him again next year. They just want the cap flexibility should they land a QB this year and Wilson flounders, opening the door.

Hedge, hedge, hedge.

Two big draft hits on the Dline is huge. Hopefully they are an awesome duo for the Bucs for the next decade.

Ahh. Next year guarantees if he got hurt in the last two games. Similar to Derek Carr.

It's interesting no one begs for or even expects games for "Super Shaq" or "Super Dean" or any of the other high priced players on this defense.....

It would be nice for Dean and Davis to return to long ago well work. The concussion brothers needs to be short term.

I was never a fan of re-signing Dean to begin with. I felt that money could've been used elsewhere.

Would have much rather kept whitehead over dean.

The big difference here is both of those players earned their contracts through their impact play.

Shaq played on a tag and never made a peep.

Devin White was already rich as a top 5 pick and then whined and requested a trade when extension talks didn’t go where he wanted.

Warranted or not if you’re going to complain about your contract fans are going to be hyper-critical of your play.

Notice all you see about Mike Evans is “pay the man.”

If the foregone conclusion is that White is gone either way, then yes, I'd want to see him go out on the highest of notes.

Once Shaq got paid, Shaq went silent for the most part. Goal shouldn't be get paid and then disappear. Same with Dean. Same with CD3. To a degree Same with Vita as well.

The high priced guys should be making the biggest noise but all they do is eat up cap room.

Interesting I don't recall seeing Devin get a pass when his father passed away last year.....

I guess you don’t have kids. If you don’t know the difference between losing a parent and losing a child I don’t know what the fuck else to ever say to you.

Shaq and Dean weren't touted as the Next Ray Lewis or whatever other garbage narrative that was being associated with White.

Dude is mediocre now. Hope he feasts for the rest of his time here though!

I do. Fortunately I haven't lost either a parent or a child. I can't imagine trying to justify that losing 1 over the other is somehow better in anyway. But do you, sir.

Not really sure what you’re talking about. They paid a premium for Dean and Shaq to be good frontline starters.

They were never touted as the next great whatever at their positions and didn’t have the White hype.

And he’s worse at his position on a week by week basis than they are FYI.

What? Vea? How is this disappearing? His new contract was signed in 2022
First 4 years: 11.5 sacks, 16 TFL, 31 QBHits
Last 2 years: 12 sacks, 15 TFL, 21 QBHits

Shaq is getting out played now by rookies. He doesn't provide as consistent a presence in the rush game as he did. Maybe it's due to age, whatever.

Dean wasn't good before we extended him and now has looked even worse at times. Plus he's always injured. Same for CD3.

It doesn't matter what they were touted as. They got paid and it wasn't for shits and giggles.

Shaq had 29.5 sacks leading up to his deal. Dean was a top 10 pff corner. I think.

Shaq tore his Achilles as a 30 year old. It’s possible he’s done as an impact player. It happens. I don’t remember having an opinion when he signed the big extension.

You can’t be serious, right?!? I’m a 35 year old who lost his mother two years ago tomorrow. I also have a 9 and 7 year old. If you think losing a parent even comes close to losing a child, a THREE YEAR IKD like Shaq, you’re crazier than you already come across.

We signed him knowing his injury history. He is playing better after he signed. You said to a lesser extent with Vea as if he regressed at all, which he clearly has not. That is what I am arguing
