Here's a question, how much do you put the roster sucking on BB? He's the HC/GM sure... but should he be? Is it his fault? You ask any HC how much more weight they want their opinion to have and they'll all tell you more. The more success you have to more weight you get, the more rope you get. 6 SBs gets you ALL the rope.... more than enough to hang pretty much any HC. But what's a HC to say, "no thanks, just pick the guy you want"? Of course not.

BB would be hella interesting in Tampa if we keep Licht on as GM. Licht is one of the best GMs at hearing out his coaches and understanding what they need while still being the guy who ultimately makes the roster calls. I think he could provide BB with a hell of a roster to run. The same crux will exist though, which is nailing down that OC/QB combo. We know BB is pretty shit at picking his own.

You have to think he'd like to go out on a "winning without Tom" note. Tom removed all doubt. BB hasn't.

Indeed. However unfair as it might be. Whether HC or QB, you need a complete team to win. There are a few that offer him a chance, but oh boy it's still hard to do.

15 wins in 2 seasons is much more doable and a great note to end on.

Coaching isn't the problem in NE. That roster sucks. They've made horrible personnel decisions. I'm fully convinced this NE team wouldn't barely beat say a Michigan or Georgia college team. Probably like a 35-27 type game.

Even the high end college teams may have roughly 20 guys in a given year that will eventually ever make it to the league. At best. With several of them being freshmen who haven't nearly grown into their bodies.

New England has 53+ NFL players no matter how much they "suck."

I agree with you in general principle. But the 2011 Bucs by December of that year would likely be an exception to that rule. They were a very young team with Ronde as the only proven vet on the roster and they basically had the body language of a team that wished the season ended by Nov of 2011.

That would be sick, assuming he's but the GM and Kellen Moore can run the offense.

Herbert only needs a below average defense to make the chargers truly dangerous. Hell, even just a bad defense would be an upgrade to the pile of shit Staley has put on display since taking over. BB would get Herbert that and much more.

Especially 14 games into the season. But as we all know the Chargers are a very bad organization. And this is not an attractive job. They'll be $45mil+ over the cap next season. Their best players with the exception of Herbert are getting old. They haven't drafter particularly well.

If cutting Shaq Barrett did not have a tremendous effect on the cap, it would make sense to trade for Mack who could be had for a bag of peanuts considering Chargers' cap issues. We need a difference making pass rusher to help the defense in general and the growth of Kancey and Diaby.
