Who Is Going to Win the NFCS?
The NFCS has 3 teams tired at 6-7.
The Bucs play @ GB(6-6) JAX (8-5) NO (6-7) and @ CAR (1-12).
The Saints play NYG (4-8) @ LAR (6-7) @ TB (6-7) ATL (6-7).
ATL Plays @ CAR (1-12) INDY (7-6) @ CHI (5-8) @ NO (6-7).
Damn if I know who will take the NFCS, but I have a strong feeling that the winner of the Saints at the Bucs will determine the NFCS Champion.

Re: Who Is Going to Win the NFCS?
I just hope it's not us or the Saints. The Falcons can "earn" the privilege to get their assholes gaped on national TV by either the Eagles or Cowboys. We got to do it last year, I think it's the Failcons turn to "win" the division and collect their prize.
Re: Who Is Going to Win the NFCS?
Looking at those schedules….
I have no idea.

Re: Who Is Going to Win the NFCS?
We have the toughest schedule overall, but the easiest final game. Let's hope we all get to week 18 with the same record.
Re: Who Is Going to Win the NFCS?
I have no idea who will win. All the teams have had moments of suck. The Buccaneers have the most talent, but the worst coaching. We will see what happens.
Re: Who Is Going to Win the NFCS?
Saints finish with 3 straight road games? Ouch!

I think the team that wins out will take the title.

@GreatTimes
6-7 not 6-6
6-7 not 6-6
Re: Who Is Going to Win the NFCS?
If we have the most talent with 75M in dead cap and the worst coaching, Licht deserves a 10 year extension.

But we're getting noticed!
Something foul is happening in the NFL right now, but it's not the officiating: It's the NFC South

Re: Who Is Going to Win the NFCS?
@Doctor isn't exactly wrong. It's not just $75mil in dead money. It's voided money. As in these players aren't even on the team. And that doesn't even count Jensen. If the premise is that we had the most talent, imagine if that $75mil or even half of it was at our disposal.
That said, I don't believe we have the most talent. I think people confuse potential with actual talent.

Re: Who Is Going to Win the NFCS?
We drop to almost zero dead money for next season. Pending cuts or trades of course.
Re: Who Is Going to Win the NFCS?
Baker is now going to personify his new mental makeup after twostep Tommy DeVito.

I will be looking for cheap labor while the rest will be flippin Dominic money and making sure the highest contracts are paid out.Grahamburn wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 8:57 am We drop to almost zero dead money for next season. Pending cuts or trades of course.

You are wanting to be told on first, or are you joining mdb club value..

Not true.Grahamburn wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 8:57 am We drop to almost zero dead money for next season. Pending cuts or trades of course.
Voided years won't process until the new league year. Between Mike Evans, LVD, AWJ, Baker, Greg Gaines and Matt Flier there's roughly $22mil in dead money that we will have.
So that $47mil everyone us sees will be cut almost in half once the new league year starts.

I have not done a complete position by position evaluation, but...Bootz wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 8:48 am @Doctor isn't exactly wrong. It's not just $75mil in dead money. It's voided money. QB -- I would say of the three other teams Baker has been the best this season.
Mayfield - 52.3 QBR 18th
Carr - 46.5 QBR 23rd
Ridder - 40.3 QBR 24th
Young - 29.6 QBR 30th
WR -- Evans and Godwin are the best in the NFCS (only listing guys with 500 yds or more)
Evans - 1020 yds, 10 TDs
Olave - 918 yds, 4 TDs
Thielen - 827 yds, 4 TDs
London - 745 yds, 2 TDs
Godwin - 659yds , 1 TD
Pitts - 549yds, 2TDs
RB --
Robinson - 790 yds, 4 TDs
White - 745 yds, 5 TDs
Hubbard - 644 yds, 4 TDs
Kamara - 564 yds, 5 TDs
Yes, just skill positions so far. Based on productivity the Buccaneers are looking fairly strong in a weak ass division. Outside of the division not so much. When I get time I can look at the defense, but I think the Buccaneers talent wise looks pretty solid vs. NFCS teams.

Re: Who Is Going to Win the NFCS?
I would not mind that at all. The guy has hit a home run in this draft with multiple solid contributors.
Even with cap issues, I think Bucs have the best roster within the division because of the presence of a core group of youngish veterans that have won the Superbowl and know the focus/mindset it takes to win. The ability of our coaching staff to turn recent draft picks into solid contributors is another reason for us having a good roster to compete within the division and they deserve to be applauded for it.
On game day though whether it be due to a passive defensive scheme or an offensive scheme that looks disjointed, it feels like we don't translate the talent into production. It takes so many things to go in our favor against average and bad teams for us to eek out a win. Our offense especially routinely looks like such a struggle, as if the game plan is to aim for a 3rd and manageable, instead of avoiding a 3rd down situation altogether.
Obviously if we win out and lose in wild card, it would be very unfair to get rid of our coaches and I will be content with Bowles and Canales getting another year. I hope Bucs display an upward trajectory on both sides in the coming games.
Re: Who Is Going to Win the NFCS?
Frankly it would be embarrassing for us to not win this division. It’s the worst in football right now.
Besides, I thought we still had a superbowl roster? People on here didn’t want us to tank because we have so much talent still. With all that talent, superbowl talent, surely we should win this division.

Re: Who Is Going to Win the NFCS?
The entire OL was drafted by Licht and is really coming together. Evans, Godwin, Palmer, White, Otton, all JL picks.
Winfield, Davis, Dean, Zyon, Izien, all JL drafted and Bowles groomed. God I wish we had gotten Brian Branch, but Mauch is really making leaps at the position. Still...
Upfront we're still missing that next level leadership and star catalyst. That guy that sets off the rest. White was suppose to be that guy, and has shown flashes, but for reasons just didn't make the leap he's been suppose to. The rest of the cast is really solid, Vea, Kancey, Yaya, but everyone is still waiting on that point man.
The foundation of the roster is solid af.

Re: Who Is Going to Win the NFCS?
I'd agree. The roster from top to bottom has competent players at pretty much every level of the offense and defense. Contrast us to a real bottom-tier roster like the Patriots or Cardinals or Panthers, and the difference at least to my eye is striking.Doctor wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 1:03 pm The entire OL was drafted by Licht and is really coming together. Unlike bootz, keep assuming shit. No one knows who will win the NFC south.
