Some stats through week 12 in 2023-2024
Re: Some stats through week 12 in 2023-2024
Mike (Evans) being Mike
- Mike is back to averaging nearly 15.7 yards per reception, which puts him in the top 5 range for high volume WR targets (removing the specialist guys). Mike was in the 14-14.5 range during Brady's tenure. Seems minor, but, I find it interesting,
- Mike is 3rd the NFL in yards before the catch average (where he is in relation to the LOS upon catching the ball).
- In typical Mike fashion, he's only "broken" two tackles this season.
I think he's aging like fine wine. Still a premier deep ball threat.

With my eye, I spy Christian Izien
Christian Izien is the second most blitzed defender on the Buccaneers. He's 34th in the NFL in total blitzes, and the 5th most blitzed defensive back in the NFL.
He's averaging about 3 blitzes per game.

How many pressures has he gotten with those 3 blitzes per game average? How many sacks? I bet Ronde isn’t worried.
Don't tread on me
Re: Some stats through week 12 in 2023-2024
It doesn't have to always be him getting to the QB. Often just his assault is what's needed to pull the protection a certain way to open it up elsewhere.
Re: Some stats through week 12 in 2023-2024
This is why I was shocked by Baker's deep ball analysis. It hasnt impacted Evans in any way. He's still a deep ball receiver and seems to make 1-2 deep catches per game. Almost 16 yards/catch with minimal YAC ability? That's impressive.Snake wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 4:44 pm Mike (Evans) being Mike
