Re: ***Official 2024 Draft Thread!!***
We need an absolute superstar for Logan Hall's position, if that doenst exist then we have to check if a great o-line or great d-line player will be available for our 2nd pick - so we can figure out our 1st pick.

Re: ***Official 2024 Draft Thread!!***
It’s just an ankle injury that he got repaired with a tightrope procedure?
I’m not seeing anything about ACL.
Tua had tightropes on both ankles and was back within weeks performing at near 100%.

He’ll probably be back for the SEC title game if not the playoffs. Weird take to say that’s “devastating.”
I’d just prefer to take an offensive weapon, who also excels at blocking AND loves football, over the 4th or 5th QB prospect.

If Drake Maye is on the board (assuming Williams isn't) and we don't draft him I'm fucking done.Phantom wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2023 11:20 pmChicago, Denver, Los Angeles Rams, Arizona, Green Bay and Bucs? Sounds about right. If we can’t land top 3 QB, Kirk Cousins?

Here is what ESPN NFL draft analyst Matt Miller said about Tampa Bay potentially selecting Maye:
If the Buccaneers are selecting in the top five next April, neither Baker Mayfield nor Kyle Trask did enough to cement the QB1 job long term. Given the low investment made in both of them, it stands to reason Tampa Bay would move on if given the chance to draft a premier prospect. Maye is built like Justin Herbert at 6-4 and 230 pounds and has high-end downfield passing ability and pocket mobility. He broke out in his first season as a starter for the Tar Heels in 2022, throwing 38 touchdown passes to seven interceptions.

There's somewhere I got to go..."

If we lose enough games to get in position for him I don’t think you have to worry.
I just don’t see us top 2-3. Maybe top 5 if it goes bad and we could try to move up for Maye.
Going to be a lot of competition for him though.

Can you suggest a tape on him? I'm not hearing much hype.MJW wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 12:42 amIf Drake Maye is on the board (assuming Williams isn't) and we don't draft him I'm fucking done.Phantom wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2023 11:20 pm

Re: ***Official 2024 Draft Thread!!***
Bowers looks to be back from his catastrophic injury.
Re: ***Official 2024 Draft Thread!!***
No way we trade up
Re: ***Official 2024 Draft Thread!!***
I think Bo Nix is somebody that could run this offense pretty well.
Re: ***Official 2024 Draft Thread!!***
Good night! Look at the size of this DK Metcalf looking mofo!
Re: ***Official 2024 Draft Thread!!***
I think Marvin Harrison Jr. goes first overall
Re: ***Official 2024 Draft Thread!!***
I honestly don't know. If I’m the Bears GM, I’ll draft Maye or Williams.. then trade Fields to QB-needy teams. (Hope the Bucs are not one of them)

The Giants not giving up on Jones so they’re most likely to draft Harrison jr at #1

Re: ***Official 2024 Draft Thread!!***
I don’t believe any of that.
Re: ***Official 2024 Draft Thread!!***
What guard would make a fantastic center in this draft
Re: ***Official 2024 Draft Thread!!***
Ask Snake.
Re: ***Official 2024 Draft Thread!!***
That's a good question.
Re: ***Official 2024 Draft Thread!!***
The last interior lineman that Jason Licht drafted who actually played guard or center in college was Kadeem Edwards. In 2014. The same draft class as Mike Evans. Nine years ago.
Don't hold your breath on drafting a guard or center. Licht thinks he's cracked the DaVinci code by exclusively drafting tackles and playing them on the interior. And perhaps unsurprisingly, we haven't had a good inside run game throughout his tenure, despite four different head coaches and across multiple offenses. If only there were a common denominator here.

Re: ***Official 2024 Draft Thread!!***
Maybe his goal wasn’t to have a great running game but a great passing one? Which, he definitely has accomplished. Bucs’ lines have graded out highly in pass blocking for several years now.Cheb wrote: ↑Fri Nov 17, 2023 12:28 amThe last interior lineman that Jason Licht drafted who actually played guard or center in college was Kadeem Edwards. Just a thought.
Re: ***Official 2024 Draft Thread!!***
They are just getting a taste of who can whup their butt and who can't. I think that falls into getting reps can help you improve.
Re: ***Official 2024 Draft Thread!!***
I don't know why you're so obsessed with center
Re: ***Official 2024 Draft Thread!!***
Not saying that all of them can't get better but who is the weak link on our offensive line right now? I simply do not know if they can get stronger than the players they are facing for run blocking and for that matter it very well could continue with future draft picks used for the line.

Here’s an update WalteFootball update mock draft
3 Qbs taken in the first round
Bears- Caleb Williams
Falcons- Jayden Daniels
Bucs- JJ McCarthy? Over Bo Nix? I don't know about that.

I don’t expect the 5th QB in the first round helps us that much and don’t think we should go that direction.
Re: ***Official 2024 Draft Thread!!***
Any mock with Michael Penix and Bo Nix left out of the first round isn’t very reliable.Phantom wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2023 1:08 pm Here’s an update WalteFootball update mock draft
