You expect Purdy to eventually have an off game and it just never happens.

He really saved Lynch & Kyle's jobs.BucsNBills wrote: ↑Sun Oct 08, 2023 10:35 pm I'm just going to believe the 49ers traded those picks for Purdy. It's the superior narrative.

Lol that Cowboys fan on his phone after the TD is going to do the rounds as a new meme.
Re: Week 5 Discussion
Kyle makes it easy for him. All Pro weapons. All Pro LT and protection. Easy reads. All he needs to do is be a great point guard and get the ball where it needs to be. And he's doing that without making mistakes.Miller4Prez64 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 08, 2023 10:47 pm You expect Purdy to eventually have an off game and it just never happens.

With this ass beating AND Parsons getting injured, this game has turned into the 9/11 for Cowboys fans. They're not even going to use the numbers 4 and 9 just like they refused to eat French Fries.

So, did anybody see the new Golden Bachelor? Who do you think The Pickle is on the Masked Singer?
At this point, I'm just trying to find something entertaining to talk about.

I really do not look forward to our matchup with the 49ers. It’s only been five games, but this may be the most dominant team I’ve seen in years.

Dude. Please. You continue to embarrass yourself.

Giants are way worse than I thought they'd be. I mean, I didn't think they were playoff good or anything like that. And I think their record is about where I expected it to be. But I did think they were better than they've looked on the field.

Re: Week 5 Discussion
It is early, but Purdy might be the next Brady. I mean that not from accomplishments so far, but from being taken so late in the draft and getting a chance to play due to injury.

The hate for the Chiefs is causing people to throw kerosene and lit matches to their credibility.

Looks like a catch to me. I believe it could have been called either way, though, and not overturned in review. It was that close.

Picking up the flag.
Telling him to put his helmet back on.
I only saw the end of the game.

Re: Week 5 Discussion
Vikings dropped a screen that would have at the least led to first and goal. Watson got his toes down. He is having a nice season. My theory is that having big NFL youtubers and influencers talking about how games are rigged is contributing to more and more people claiming the same. If you go to Tom Grossi's chat during a game the fans cry cheating ad nauseam. That is because he does likewise and it becomes circular. The more that an influencer talks about rigging the more their fans feel validated. They are then emboldened by the validation so they feel that they are the ones fighting for truth in the sport. Pointing out the injustice occurring. 6.6k people liked a tweet that was at the least very close. That would completely validate the person that created the tweet leading him to do it more.

You have to take into account all refs on the field answer to the ear buds in their ear and that direction is coming from NFL NY. If they say pick up the flag - it will be picked up.

Re: Week 5 Discussion
Yeah, after watching the replay of the intentionally overturned DPI, it's clear as fucking day that at the very least, the call should've been holding.
Sneed literally grabs Attison's shoulder pads about the 5 yard line. Addison is looking back at the ball to locate it, but can't cut inside because he's being HELD, and his path to the ball is being INTERFERED with.
The idea that the ball landing near the S is "uncatchable" is fucking delusion. Attison would've had a shot at that had Sneed not HELD and INTERFERED with his attempt to do so. The goal line ref saw the penalty(correctly), and called it(correctly), but was overturned because of "reasons".
Sorry, but that flag was picked up SOLELY because it was against the Chiefs.
Had the Chiefs been the ones doing the same thing, with Mahomes lobbing a pass to Kelce and he's fucking held/interfered with, you can bet every penny you have or will ever have that it would be called correctly.
The blatant favoritism towards the Chiefs is killing the league and the fun of the game. But then again, there's a reason why the NFL is categorized as Sports Entertainment, just like the WWE...

NFL NY is the governing body and the refs on the field are mere pawns. I'm just curious on how many "team leaders" are used for each game.

I love how Lugz thinks the only way the league will be right again is if the Chiefs lose every game.

That's a strawman. The Chiefs should beat the Vikings, because they're a better football team. But they should EARN that W without the refs handing it to them on a silver platter. That's happened two weeks in a row now and it damages the integrity of the league.

I saw it as not a catch as I thought his foot was off the ground but it was so slight, there was no way the call should have been changed.
