Probably "1" or "0" since he's Bryce Young tiny.
Re: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Official 2023 Off Season Thread
He's listed as 6'1 215. You think he's smaller?

Yeah in no reality is he Bryce Young's size. If you strapped a backpack on Young and dropped him off at a middle school nobody would question it.
Caleb isn't some physical freak in terms of size, but he's not a small QB by any stretch.
Re: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Official 2023 Off Season Thread
Yea he's in that Drew Brees, Russell Wilson ballpark. I'd have no issues with his size.BucsNBills wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 10:29 amYeah in no reality is he Bryce Young's size. If you strapped a backpack on Young and dropped him off at a middle school nobody would question it.

In reality he's probably closer to 6'0 and 205. Yeah. Young was listed at 6' and 194 at Alabama. He ended up 5'10.BucsNBills wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 10:29 amYeah in no reality is he Bryce Young's size. I'm sure Caleb can fudge the weight at the combine the same way Young did though. He isn't AS small, but he's still small.

When I SAY TANK, I MEAN -
3) By the same token, taking the cap hits on guys you'd rather cut. Move on now. What the Cardinals did with D-Hop basically.
D-Hop was released because he sat out the last two games, and was allegedly going to sit out until he was traded or released.
5) Not keeping a coach or a GM already on the hot seat. Why would they be thinking about the long-term health of the team?
And how will you get a top GM when he knows he is cash strapped this year and a coach knowing he is coming into a lame duck first year? Right you won't so stop that BS
6) Exploiting value by trading this year's draft picks for betters ones next year. If you're more concerned about two years than next year, why the hell wouldn't you swap this year's 3rd and 5th for next year's first?
I doubt anyone would trade a next year first for less than a 2nd round pick. Show me anywhere when a 3rd and 5th this year was for a 1st next year
7) Not altering draft strategy for immediate help. Pretty straightforward.
So you agree us not getting a tackle in this draft?
8) Drafting the lines, which I guess is a borderline entry, but it's the best sign of a good rebuild.
So no, you aren't happy we didn't draft a tackle and we did concentrate on our lines this draft. Not sure why you are even making this case as it already happened
Re: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Official 2023 Off Season Thread
- They could have designated D-Hop's cap hit as Post July 1st, spreading the hit across two years. They didn't. That was more the point.kaimaru wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 3:52 pmMJW wrote: ↑Tue Jun 06, 2023 6:35 pm Gonna post some version of this definition yet again:

- Literally every such "Now for Later" trade creates value. You just have to be patient. That's the commendable part here.
- I had very few qualms about this past draft strategy.

It has more to do with who told me to do the fucking. Your "power through and get it over with" approach is quite noble, I must say.

And to think of how anxious and ready the NFL world was ready to crown Josh Allen as the next best thing.

How many quarterbacks would you rather have than Allen?

Yet again but not surprisingly you miss the forest for their trees.

Re: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Official 2023 Off Season Thread
Over the last three seasons, Baker is tied for 12th in the league in interceptions thrown at 29 picks over that span. Mayfield shares that tie with Lamar Jackson, Kyler Murray, and Dak Prescott, and he's played in more games than any of those three dudes -- put another way, Baker has a better games-to-picks ratio than all those 100+ million dollar players over the last three years.
I chose optimism here, at least from a ball security perspective, and the last three years back that up. Not great, but not near as bad as that graphic would make it seem.
Here's another nugget; Tom Brady threw for more picks than Baker Mayfield did in the past three years.
