I care about drafting BPA. I can't imagine passing one career of the next jjets because we were "pretty deep" in 2023.

BPA is relative.... Each team has its own idea of who would be best "at that time" player available

Reaching should not be an option but if the guy you think can help your team the most this year is there, you take him. Even if the Kipers of the world think he isn't worth the pick you are choosing him at.

Great points. A WR is not a good choice in the first round.

Why we talking Hyatt?

Having difference of opinion on BPA is fine. I just cringe reading "take the best LT left" because you know all the Yatta/DSmith threads that will follow.

It's way too early to dismiss players because of "he'll be gone when we pick".

That's exactly how OJ Howard landed in our laps. We all whiffed on Goedeke. And even Mike Evans was a surprise for some.

Plus you have Licht's tendency to plug most starter holes with free agents before the draft in order to open up the whole board.

So Hyatt is not impossible.

While not impossible and could be the BPA, I was just wondering why we were zooming in on him in particular.

FA is for filling holes. Draft is for finding that next guy who resets the market.

He jumped off the tape when I was watching Hendon Hooker.

He's gonna be good.

I ain't banging a drum for anyone, just pointing out that BPA depends on the team doing the picking

Now make a mock so I can see how Selmon is thinking. it could be worse than what Licht could do or it might even better and I'm leaning on the latter for you in that way.

Never done a mock draft and have no intention of starting now

I do read them from time to time but that's about it

I usually do a few, but I haven't had much time to tuck into one yet. I'll do at least one for the league (probably through three rounds?) and a few just for the Bucs.

Going from pick 82 to 155 will be horrendous. Good place to dump Donovan Smith. DS to the Pats for 2 fourth rounders, Bill shows him the Patriot way and gets six years out of him.
