Re: Throw the ENTIRE Pro Bowl away NOW!
Doesn't Allen have a UCL injury or something like that? And has since like mid-November? Combine that with Lamar being hurt for a significant portion of the season and a down year in QB play for the majority of the AFC and you get Huntley as an alternate. Who else could it have been? Herbert is already in. Burrow is already in. Tua's brain is currently soup. Who else is there?

There has to be a name that threw more than 2 TDs this seasonThe Outsider wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2023 9:55 am Doesn't Allen have a UCL injury or something like that? And has since like mid-November? Mac Jones. Derek Carr. Hell, Davis Mills or Kenny Pickett. They could've gone so many directions here.

Lmao I didn't realize Huntley's stats were THAT bad. Yeah sure at this point Mills or Pickett should get it. Maybe Mac. I feel even worse about giving it to a guy who got benched to end the season even if that does speak more to McDaniels inability to be a HC than it does Carr's ability to play QB.

I’m honestly baffled because it doesn’t make any sense. It’s not like he has a fan base that was clamoring for him. WTF?
Re: Throw the ENTIRE Pro Bowl away NOW!
NBA struggles with this too. Shit is a joke.
Re: Throw the ENTIRE Pro Bowl away NOW!
You'd think that the Pro Bowl wouldn't let a quarterback with four starts in the regular season with a mere three total touchdowns, a dude who is 48th in the league in passing yards, you would think a guy with that resumè could only go to the Pro Bowl if he bought a ticket, yet here we are.
Moreover, this is a slap in the face to every better quarterback in the AFC, for whom making a Pro Bowl would be a great honor and likely mean a fat bonus.
What a crock.

And what sucks most is he's getting humiliated by this. Huntley didn't ask for this.
Re: Throw the ENTIRE Pro Bowl away NOW!
Though somewhere deep in the internet, there's a Utah Utes superfan who finally feels validated for saying that Tyler Huntley was a Pro Bowl talent.

Re: Throw the ENTIRE Pro Bowl away NOW!
Turns out this was the doing of player voting. He wasn’t near the top of any fan voting list at all.
Player voting for pro sports all star games needs to be done away with because the players don’t take it seriously. You have this and just look at the NBA All Star ballot, the players were voting for some of the most ridiculous choices. Chet Holmgren got 4 player votes despite never playing a single NBA game in his life.
This really shouldn’t be a big deal, except that HoF voters use stuff like this to help weed out who gets in or not, and some players have bonuses tied to making Pro Bowls/All Stars and what not too.

Kind of reminds me when people voted Trubisky for that stupid Nickelodeon valuable player award after he just got smoked in a playoff game. All a big joke but it’s embarrassing for the actual human being involved.King Bootz wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2023 10:13 am And what sucks most is he's getting humiliated by this. Carr was added to replace Burrow.
Re: Throw the ENTIRE Pro Bowl away NOW!
Name the pro bowlers.
Don't actually have an event.
There can be no no-showing and the real pro bowlers remain the real pro bowlers.

Probably the only dude that'd say yes to a game five days away.

Re: Throw the ENTIRE Pro Bowl away NOW!
Just like they did in 2020 during the covid season. This is the way. There’s been so many mediocre and even bad QBs to get Pro Bowls to their name because all the top QBs never actually want to participate in the Pro Bowl. Jameis was a “Pro Bowler” his rookie year for this exact reason.
Re: Throw the ENTIRE Pro Bowl away NOW!
Kinda like all the "popular" students voting some poor guy the "Homecoming Queen" just because teenagers are cruel, spiteful little brainless fucks.
Push the damned button already!

Benched at the end of the year and still a pro bowler. Maybe I should check my email and see if I got an invite, too.
