Re: NFL Final Weekend Thread
So, has Rodgers played his last NFL game? I say... Possibly.
Re: NFL Final Weekend Thread
Why do I find personal pleasure in watching Rodgers pout?
Re: NFL Final Weekend Thread
Disappointing that Detroit can't move on. They are really fun to watch.
Re: NFL Final Weekend Thread
Damn Rams had to blow it today ugh. San Fran-Detroit woulda been a helluva game.

Last Packer game yes.The Outsider wrote: ↑Sun Jan 08, 2023 11:22 pm So, has Rodgers played his last NFL game? I say... Possibly.
I think he will be somewhere else next year…possibly Vegas.

That'd be some shit.
Re: NFL Final Weekend Thread
You have to respect what the Lions are building. That's a tough as nails team.
Re: NFL Final Weekend Thread
Damn the Lions are 5-1 in Division. They’re 1-1 vs Vikings 2-0 vs Bears. 2-0 vs Packers

Re: NFL Final Weekend Thread
If I'm Rodgers one of the last places I'm going is Vegas. A franchise that has a history of being shit, that straight up has an awful defense, and a coach who has a history of not working well with any QB other than Tom Brady. And a pretty bad O-line playing in a very tough division.

Miss me with the talk of coaches not mattering. Dan Campbell has changed the Lions from a hopeless lifeless franchise to one that is full of heart and promise.
Dan Campbell is a guy you'd be excited to play for. Teams take on the personality of their coaches, which is why the Lions have zero quit in them and the Bucs resemble that of a burnt out disinterested fry cook.

Guess it's not surprising. The last two Cowboy/Bucs games have been on PT. Why not a third

I'm happy it's on Monday. Now I can just kick back and enjoy all the other games and not worry about the Bucs spoiling my weekend.
Re: NFL Final Weekend Thread
At least this year no one is going to be talking about the Packers. Aaron gets to sit at home.

Man, you’re such a debbie downer. I think we have a chanceBucsNBills wrote: ↑Sun Jan 08, 2023 11:43 pm I'm happy it's on Monday. Now I can just kick back and enjoy all the other games and not worry about the Bucs spoiling my weekend.

I do as well. Which is why if we lose it would kind of spoil my weekendPhantom wrote: ↑Sun Jan 08, 2023 11:47 pmMan, you’re such a debbie downer. The Cowboys address flaky as fuck and we just saw today that they can be terrible.
Now the Bucs can get my undivided attention and wild card weekend can also be equally enjoyed.
Re: NFL Final Weekend Thread
Rodgers ain’t going nowhere with a 99m dead cap hit
Re: NFL Final Weekend Thread
It's not structured as such, should he be traded. Bonuses and such. If he's traded after June 1st, It's a $15 Mil cap hit for this year and a $24 mil cap hit for the year after. If they CUT him, yeah, dead meat. But obviously no reason they'd do that.
The question is, who is trading for him right now and taking on his contract? He's in clear, sharp decline. Yeah, young weapons blah blah blah. But just watching him play, he's lucky Russell Wilson stole all the "washed up HOF" headlines.
He threw the ball 11 more times in 2022 than 2021. He completed 16 fewer passes for 500 less yards, 11 fewer TDs, and 3x as many interceptions. His QBR, whatever that means, was less than half of what it was in 2021.
The only possibility for the Packers is if someone is convinced he can do a Tom Brady, which isn't impossible? But that's a huge swing.

Re: NFL Final Weekend Thread
Can someone convince themselves that Rodgers statistical decline is due a young receiving corp, makeshift oline, and a broken thumb he's been dealing with since October? I'd say absolutely yes. Especially if there's a roster in need of a QB that doesn't need heroics from the position.
Does anyone know if trades can include post dated aspects of the exchange? Can Rodgers be traded before June 1 for 2023 draft assets but he's not officially traded until June 2nd?
I'd say the Jets, dolphins, Titans, are all much more competitive with Rodgers under center, so off the top of my head.

Yup, that's what I meant (not implied well at all) that nobody would trade for him with that contract, unless it's one of those Brock Osweiler "trades"MJW wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 7:27 amIt's not structured as such, should he be traded. Agreed. That's celebration has been done before. Not really bad taste. Now THIS is extremely bad taste.

Not the first time Walker has shoved a dude in street clothes although at least the dude he pushed on the Bills sideline in week 8 was a PS TE. Them Georgia boys didn't get recruited to play school, that's for sure.

Wyatt also tried to get in on the action. Just two thugs bullying a 150lb member of the medical staff.
Honestly he should be suspended for at least a few games next year.

Yeah, shows his immaturity. Though I'd rather see that than see him obviously not give a fuck.King Bootz wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 10:11 amHis reaction afterwards takes the cake. The Outsider wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 10:05 am Not the first time Walker has shoved a dude in street clothes although at least the dude he pushed on the Bills sideline in week 8 was a PS TE.
